than we have 2012- Cocktail- hit Jannat 2- Semi hit. Raaz 3: super hit.. guess Emraan won this round but Saif won many rounds.. so winner is... SAIF!

Thats a really good analysis, but I think what most members were really hinting at is the fact that in recent times, Emraan's star power has risen dramatically and is still rising. So much so that even big production houses and top actors are willing to work with him. I feel Saif's starpower, on the other hand, is on the decline. Yes he has hits, he's done Cocktail, but he's sorta stuck in a rut between the Khans-Kumar-Devgans and the younger generation of male actors.

Good news for Saif fans.

My next with Saif will be his biggest hit: Sajid Khan

Contrary to speculations and rumours, Housefull and Housefull 2 director Sajid Khan is not making Housefull 3 or Judwaa 2. Sajid will make his untitled next with the Nawab of Pataudi, Saif Ali Khan.

Sajid's currently busy with Himmatwala that has Ajay Devgn in the lead. Post its release, he will focus fully on his new venture with Saif. In association with Vashu Bhagnani and Fox Star India, the film will also have one of the director's favourite actors- Riteish Deshmukh. The heroines have yet to be finalized.

"I'm making a film with Saif which will be a romantic comedy entertainer and I go on records to say that this will be Saif Ali Khan's biggest hit ever. It will be Saif like never seen before on the silver screen", says Sajid.

Adding, "There are only seven actors across India who work and Saif is one of them!"

@PigBenis- I can post an article that says AV has a great opening its a matter of critics and everyone says diff things.. from what I Remeber.. AV opened big but because word of mouth wasn't good it dropped

your other question about experimenting and risk.. don't understand what your asking there

Emraan and Shanghai.. that's like one film out of how many other commercial/brand films he has done. Saif always did diff films wheather it was Omkara, being Cyrus, dil Chata hai, the recent Deepika film he did with Amitabh that I can never Remeber the name of, AV, and even his recent upcoming films look diff apart from Race 2. I do think Emraan is experimenting a bit more now.. since the film he is doing with Vidya is diff than his typical movies but I still feel Saif experiments more than he does.. that's why Saif was never typecasted into a certain genre while Emraan was typecasted into a certain genre/role

See again give Emraan time...Saif has been in the industry from 1990's...and we all know he flopped big time...his career gained height after Hum Tum

Similarly EH got a new career after OUATIM & EH is fairly new as his first film came in 2003

Plus one has media liking him...other gets a kissing tag from the same media

EH had bigger struggle to first curb out of this kissing tag...Saif was famous for being a star-child already

like I said am not even a huge fan of Saif.. I like him.. and me liking him has nothing to do with him being with bebo. I like Saif because of Omkara and he's a good actor

and no not all bebo fans are Saif fans.. only Saif and bebo fan on here is desu.. am defending Saif here because I don't think Emraan has more star power than him.. just like I defend Sallu sometimes despite being Srk fan.

it's a matter of opinion and I think it's unfair to say oh your defending Saif because your a bebo fan

@Lensa: actually Emmy started off with off-beat films like Footpath, Murder, Zeher type films that were a bit "western" in nature when Bollywood was still making tha transition. I wouldn't say he was type-casted just b/c he played a casanova in like 6-7 films. He also had films in between where he played a gray, uncover polic officer, an assasin with a dark past, a spoiled rich brat who can't give up his wealth for his love, a selfish tour guide, etc. I think the fact that he actually kissed in every film made it seem that way.

I'm not trying to take anything away from Saif--he's just as good and as versatile, but to be fair even Saif was type-casted as a supporting hero back in the Khiladi days.

In terms of who's the better actor: I really think it comes down to preference...I like the anti-hero, morally-challenged, darkish characters that Emmy opts for, which I why I like him more.

Agree big time! That and TDP officially made him A lister. He's been doing consisently well since Jannat, but OUATIM really classified him as a "star" in the eyes of the media. I mean even Salman and KJo care about him, whereas he's been so widely ignored over the years.
