Adi's rom-com with Sonam, Ayushmann !

Aditya Chopra is evidently going all out to keep Yash Chopra's legacy alive. What with a slew of big announcements lined up for the end of 2012. First, he collaborated with Shekhar Kapur for his dream venture Paani and now, we learnt the YRF scion has brought Sonam Kapoor and Ayushmann Khurrana for a project that will be directed by Nupur Asthana.

The spokesperson for Yash Raj Films was forthcoming and confirmed the news last evening. Interestingly, this new project will be a first of many sorts. Not only will this be Sonam and 'Vicky Donor' Ayushmann's first film with YRF as well as each other, this will be the first YRF venture to be directed by a woman - Nupur, who helmed Mujhse Fraandship Karoge, a Y Films project that hit the theatres in 2011.

The story has been penned by Habib Faisal, the maker of YRF's Ishaqzaade. A source close to the film told us, "The film will be a 'slice of life' rom-com and will go on floors in mid-February next year. The makers are planning for a September/October release for the project." We also found out that the film will be based in Delhi. "It's a good casting since both Ayushmann and Sonam have spent a part of their childhood in the national capital," added the source.

For Sonam, 2013 is turning out to be a big year with Bhaag Milkha Bhaag (opposite Farhan Akhtar) and Raanjhana (opposite Dhanush) already lined up for release. Ayushmann, on the other hand, has Rohan Sippy's Nautanki Saala and another film titled Hamara Bajaj.
