A court in Mumbai on Monday summoned actor Salman Khan for perjury in the 2002 hit-and-run case.

Acting on a complaint, the court issued notice to the actor and asked the Mumbai police to attend the hearing.

One person died in 2002 when Salman's SUV ran over six people. The complainant alleged that the police fudged evidence to help Salman Khan.
