How Much Katrina is responsible for JTHJ Disaster?

Now it's very clear that coz of Amazing Acting by Boom Gal "Katrina Kaif", n her sizziling chemistry with SRK, JTHJ has not even crossed Don 2's business in India. Only 1 genre was left for Srk to excel, in that also Wooden Expression queen Katrina ruined the film for him.

She ruined the movie along with her character for me. Throughout the movie I was hoping somebody else played that character

Personally Im not fond of either of them still I went and watched JTHJ in the theater cuz they dont show many bollywood movies where i live in the cinema.

I was kinda disappointed, i didnt lime it at all. Srk was good but katrina is just to wooden and expressionless for me never noticed how bad of an actress she actually is before jthj.
Either way i dont think jthj is a disaster and i dont think kat is to be blamed for it

I think there are various factors which should be taken into consideration rather than just putting the blame on kat

agree! katrina was a huge -ve factor for the film !even a director like YC couldnt make her act lol

JTHJ's main failure was the horrible script by Aditya Chopra but to an extent, I think the blame lies with the Shahrukh-Katrina pairing as well. Katrina's (so called) acting left a lot to be desired and I could seriously not feel for her character because she was as cold as an ice block. She looked like she was in pain during the Saans song and for the rest of the movie she had this blank look as if she could not understand W*F was going on.

Add to this the fact that Shahrukh and her had ZERO chemistry and also the fact that Shahrukh looked too old, I think everyone found it hard to connect to them as a couple. Despite the story, the movie could have earned some brownie points from me had there been even 0.5% chemistry between Shahrukh-Katrina or even Shahrukh-Anushka but sadly, there wasn't any.

But honestly, Meera's character was so boring that even if Katrina could emote/act properly, she could not have done much to salvage the movie. Either someone younger should have done Samar's character or Katrina and Anushka should have been replaced by actresses who could match Shahrukh in terms of age as well as acting.

Actresses over 30..one married.Hero a father who just lost his son-no style, swagger..no hit music ..dark theme..not much promotions!Yet did bigger business than JTHJ over the weekend.

Audience wants a good film..good work from the stars and a genuine film from the director..without a saleable hero small films are doing great business..add a Ranbir Kapoor,it crosses 100 crore.with a Khan ,sky is the limit.

Yashji wooed the box office instead of making a film from the heart and failed miserably..I was never so angry with a film..by the time I heard about the kissing,I had to stop myself from slamming the film ..failing sometimes..

Well still have seen the movie, so it is a disaster in India, I think I will skip this one!! But yeah Katrina was miscast for sure, according the promo's I have seen. And the reactions I heard. Katrina is good for movies lik Ek Ta tigar and Singh is King where she has little to do!! But I think the collections would be the same if someone else was in the movie, as I also heard how bad the story was of the movie.
