I love this discussion everyone coming with their views in a civil way and will full of respect to each other now how I wish every topic was like this.

Guys I have a question since I am not from india then I don't know about that's why I want to ask. when hindu's gets married then there is some kind of calendar they use right? like their calendar should first of all suit each others or else they won't get married and they use that calendar to find a date for the marriage.

Crystal it's not a calendar. The priest looks at both the horoscopes and decides on an apt date. A date that is considered lucky and good.

aww ok dear and then the couples never go against that date right? they will marry during that date right?

In Hinduism , the birth charts of the boy and the girl are matched to see if they will have a good married life. The date of the marriage is fixed by priests as per stars and planets.

😆 its funny you brought that up Puffy ahaha

My mom and dad's marriage was based on that of horoscope matching, of course on the prodding of their own parents, everything looked all clear

and the priest claimed that my mom and dad will be "compatible in terms of mentalities"

and they're still going strong now yes, touchwood, but mom NEVER EVER gives the credit to the priest. They are not necessarily compatible in terms of their mentalities. They make it work though, they've toughed out situations, they've handled everything like complete BOSSES. When she told me this, she said "when I see that man next, he will see the worst of me" hahaha 😆😆

To me, love and romance is can't be justified by faith and what not. Your OWN input is more important than anything, and that is teh only reason I give my parents credit for their relationship.

So sure, faith is there to put a nice healer's hand over everything, but it's not some sort of an un-commentable benchmark that deems everything okay.
