We try to live His side of the relationship too from our own head. Some feel that since God does so much for them , they need to show gratitude and that is how this Deal thing starts.

Meera chose her promise and commitment to God and safety of Samar. None of it was true but it was her theory and the innocence of her faith. That is why at the back of his head, even Samar found it ridiculous and cruel to him.

Our logics behind closed doors are often strange and no, am not trying to make you feel for Samar and Meera.

I understand where you're coming from but the original reason it was wrong for Meera to be with Samar in the first place was because her father had already arranged her marriage with another man and she had to fullfill her dad's wishes. The fact that she didn't even end up marrying the man of her dad's choice defeated the ultimate purpose of her leaving Samar and being apoligetic to God.

I don't know, I've never understood Bollywood romances that try to portray romance as such a vast deep ocean of an amalgamation of belief and conviction... thats the crappy part of Bwood honestly, its either romance that is too grand to believe, or romance that is so shallow, KIDS can treat it like a swimming pool!

To me, personally, logic can't be given a toss just for the sake of overflowing emotions and what not.

I would say why not...BW movies should not be looked as a source of life inspiration...or as a substitute to Bhagwat Gita...they are movies...and thats it...and most of the movies are reflection of our society...we do have people like meera among us...so why not..

My Dad has always told me that Bollywood movies dont make sense EVER! But he watches em just for entertainment. There is enough seriousness in life so why bother talking about logic while watching a movie!((:

Meera's brain knew that she is not supposed to love Samar but often heart overrules everything. Samar was the forbidden fruit , she gave into and she could never give up.

Making a commitment is one thing but crossing the bridge is another. Meera was mentally prepared to marry her fiance but when the time came, her heart did not let her take that leap.

We decide a lot but often fate has her own plan.

@blue_ice

if movies began to replace Bhagwat Gita, then rest be assured, the world is DEFFOOO ending in December 😆😆

yeah that's fair enough.

But when you bring the God angle in, any love story will appear as a saga, even if the basis of it is as loose as tree roots battered after a typhoon. And that's what causes strange decisions to appear normal, or define things 'the way love should be'

Plus it was the visit to her mother which changed her perception.

@Faberica

Perhaps that is what we call the 'hand of God'. She met her mother at a point when a message was to be delivered to her.
