Insider Views On JAB TAK HAI JAAN & SON OF SARDAAR

As the D day is approaching, audience and media getting anxious. There were websites and part of media who went ahead and published the reviews of JTHJ when even the print was not out of the lab. We checked with studio and our sources about authenticity of reviews which appeared in one of the leading film rating website. But all were just plain rumors.

Despite huge demand from your side to write something on the topic, we waited patiently until we really got some info from sources. SOS had couple of private screenings and will have 3-4 screenings starting from 8thNovember. JTHJ had a private screening couple of days back and will have grand premiere on 12th. Here is all in form of concise information about the films and remember this is not a review.

SON OF SARDAAR:

Film got grand opening with real interesting fight sequence inside first 10-15 minutes.

Film has full on massy music and on screen "Po Po" and Title Song taken the cake.

Film's high point is climax with some breathtaking action by Ajay.

Surprisingly film doesn't offer too much comedy and it is a balance mixture of action, comedy, romance and drama.

Film has sufficient dose of entertainment in 1st half but 2nd half drags at places.

Film lacks any novelty factor and that is the only big letdown.

Film will do good biz in mass centers and will surprise many who are not giving this film much chance at box office in comparison to other biggie. Word of mouth will play crucial role in the success of the film.

JAB TAK HAI JAAN:

Film has typical breathtaking locales and some real romantic moments in the beginning of 2nd half.

Film has real interesting storyline and that is the USP of the film. Few twists every now and then will keep audience hooked. Typical Yash ji brand of surprises will make you smile.

Some real great cameos from Rishi Kapoor, Neetu and other supporting artistes take the film to higher levels.

After initial half an hour, the 2nd part of 1sthalf and last half an hour are simply rocking.

This is by far one of the best performances of Shahrukh as romantic lead as his role demands a fair mixture of intensity, passion, charm and charisma (watch out for scene where SRK meets Katrina on top of bridge or where Katrina confesses her love).

Film's long duration and couple of flashbacks might deter few sections of audience.

Film is an epic romantic saga and its size of success will depend entirely on repeat audience.

honestly i am one worried srk fan right now. nothing in JTHJ excites me. nothing. i am trying my best to fall in love with the songs, but ain't happening. can't believe how many times i viewed the songs, still finding it ordinary.

i am so missing that yash chopra vibe. the worse thing is, srk a matured actor is shown playing with very young girls. the chills, goosebumps, the sighs are missing.

where are those romantic moments of rekha & amit in silsila, the mischievousness of sridevi and rishi in chaadni , not to forget saddness of vinod khanna, the poems of kabhi kabhi, ohhh..the greenery, the chiffons, of previous yash chopra movies.

the "maturity" is definitely missing from the promos. i am actually shockd to see srk khan doing a ishq shava at this stage of his career. anu is looking way too childish.

at least veer zaraa had a more matured cast of priety and rani..who were at least more suitable for srk.

srk last outing don 2 was delicious. yes pc and him...absolute yummy.
ra 1 - kareena and him...nice, very nice. yes i am going to excuse his ra1, c'mon. at least he had the vision, but it got in wrong hands of anubhav, he simply failed to execute it properly. so i gotta give it srk, at least coming out of his comfort zone and trying something new. so what the outcome was not as good.

but doing JTHJ. did he do it for yash chopra? did he want to do another romantic movie? but why with such young girls...why not a matured romantic saga, in line of lamhe, with say vidya. why srk.

ufff...i can't wait to see the movie. i hope and pray it doesn't disappoint.

This. Watch his latest interviews...he basically says, Yashji told him 3-4 years back that he wanted to make another film and Sharukh said okay, I'll tell you my dates. I don't think he ever bothers with the story or script when Yash Chopra approaches him...at least this is what Yash Chopra has also said in that last conversation---I like that Sharukh never asks me for a story or script and just agrees to do the film.
