Celebrating Eid does not make anyone a Muslim. I have many many many Hindu and Christian friends. However celebrating Holie or Christmas does not make me a Hindu or a Christian.

Yes we cannot be certain whether he follows Islam or not but judging from his interviews, where he has openly denied adhering to the teachings of Islam,it can be implied that he does not follow.

We all make mistakes. No one is perfect. However this cannot be used as a justification to make ammendments in Islamic Provision."No one is perfect and we all make mistakes" does not warrant an individual to bend the state law. How can the phrase be used when the same person bends Islamic Law?

I can only partially agree with you. Yes we are no one to judge. Whatever happens is between Allah and his slave, Aamir Khan. We are no one to question it and should only be worried of our deeds.

However in Islam, if a Muslim practices his faith in a way different from that preached by Muhammad and there is a risk that other Muslims may be mislead as a result of his incorrect way of practice, in that case it becomes a duty of another muslim to clear up the misunderstanding. However it does not and I repeat Does Not justify any barbaric acts in the name of preventing the growth of misunderstanding. Hence Islamic Extremist are only wrong. You gotcha understand that in Islam there's no such thing as practising or non practising Muslim. To be a Muslim, you have to practise your religion in a way specified by Quran and Sunna.

These khans go on making ammendments in Islam and this is where other muslims have a duty to interfere. They openly support actions which are specifically prohibited by Islam. One such Islamic rule is for a man to marry a woman who is either Muslim, Christian or Jewish i.e People of the Books. You cannot marry a woman who belongs to any other religion. However Khans have justified this and in effect, attempted to alter the teaching of Islam. I agree that it's their own personal choice and we have no obligation nor any right to question them. However if they try to encourage other Muslims to follow the similar act, like they have always done, it becomes mandatory to have a dialogue such that confusion does not persists.

The whole purpose of explaining you how the Islamic System works was not to insult you but to enlighten you with Islamic Provisions and the circumstance where interference is justified. However use of weapons and hands should NOT take precedence over effective word.

I kinda agree with you,I hardly have any muslim friends all my best friends are hindus and I celebrate Diwali and Holi with them in the sens elike visiting them and etc.It doesnt make me love my religion less or anything.Who are we to decide whether his wife should convert or not or if he goes to mosque etc.

guys with all due respect

i think even if he has not been serious about islam or what ever. If he performed hajj with sincere intention then we are no one to judge! We cannot yet conclude that it was for publicity! This is only known to him and Allah and He knows all our intentions!

and i have always believed- islam is easy and if one wants to follow it, its never too late. Whether he offered prayers/ fasted etc cannot stop him from performing hajj IF he really wants to go to the right track with sincerity which of course only Allah knows and none of us!

Ok let's forget the past and discuss the future. What now?

He is a haji what now? doesn't he have to have a different lifestyle now? isn't he now supposed to pray etc.? and is it alright for him to do bold movies now?

I am not saying he won't do such things, I am saying isn't there different rules for a haji?

As a haji, he is in a different position. You cannot expect a haji to go on dancing with half naked women. It's his life and I cannot question him but he sure would lose some Muslim fans like myself. Now that he is a Haji, he must behave and be seen to behave in a clean way.

Well he is an actor..He needs to do his job as well. Whether he is genuinely a Muslim or not can ONLY be decided and judged by Allah...We are noone to preach 🥱

I respect all the opinions here

but lets not talk about making it so hard again. Lets keep our selves in that place. A lot of people i know who have done hajj have not really stopped watching movies/listening to songs after that but they say that they experienced a sense of peace after it. Instead of seeing whether he is following all the pillars now or not we should appreciate that he at least did fulfill one major pillar of it. That is at least something. Like ruky said no one is perfect but we can at least make small efforts to succeed.

Hello every one dont discus about his Hajj valid or not 1st of all he never claim he is 100% muslim his niyat not for hajj himself he want to take her mother for hajj he not ask to any one call him Hajji Aamir Khan and no one have right to discus about his hajj performance only allah will know accepted or not yes he is actor and he is normal human every one have right to do mistakes may be he is not 100% muslim but his mother may very good muslim so all his action relate with his mother I am in Jeddah and lot of people perform Hajj without head shave but they must give DUM in the shape of Bakra or Dumba as per local saudies Islam is very flexible dont make difficult.

Well put Koiza.

And yes i agree with ya all its pretty illogical for him to do hajj when he knows that he cant leave his profession and that on the outher hand being a Haji and continuing with the profession is like hypocrisy. You shouldnt have done it in the first place if you dont understand the seriousness of it.

But just judging him by that is too much. All around us people are there who pray 5 times a day and perform all religious duties but still commit hideous crimes that is by no way acceptable.Yes some people do it out of ignorance.I would like to share something personal here that one of my seniors had a patient once who was going to hajj and was asking the gynoe for abortion cuz she felt like it would be difficult for her being 7-8 pregnant and performing hajj. What an irony it was that she was going to Hajj and was asking for something like abortion.

Head shaving is NOT compulsory at least in many of the madhabs. Check the books of fiqh and fatawa to see what the minimum requirement is to get your hajj accepted. Most people who go to hajj are aiming for maximum reward hence they will shave their head but it is not compulsory.

Putting that aside, I don't believe in the whole hajji/non hajji thing - everyone is going to be questioned for their faith in the end so whether you didn't go for hajj isn't going to make that questioning any easier for a person. That's a cultural thing not a religious thing. There is no extra special rules for hajjis - they have the same rules as everyone else so if Aamir Khan is doing one thing after doing hajj and you are doing the same thing before doing hajj - in the end the reward/punishment is the same. The main thing about Hajj is that you want a Hajj Mabrur (accepted Hajj) because the reward is paradise. So if that is your aim, then after you come back you wouldn't want to do anything to stuff it up.

Sorry for going off track but felt the need to clarify.

Wave. oh that's so sad :( how horrible. There is a LOT of ignorance when it comes to religion unfortunately. Sometimes people are obsessed with one thing and totally forget other things or they just are ignorant of the real rulings. For e.g. I remember reading the article in the Saudi papers about the man who jumped out of the window of his hotel in Makkah because he had heard that if someone dies in Makkah they will go to Paradise so he told his wife 'see you in paradise' and jumped out and killed himself. So horrible and ignorance at its peak. This actually happens more than just this incident too.
