i am sure aamir performed hajj! His mother cant do it on her own, its pretty difficult with so many people around you. Some of my relatives went to perform hajj and they say that aamir along with his security of 20 people all performed hajj and his security was surrounded by him through out even while performing tawaaf etc!
and shaving head is not a compulsion- highly recommended though!

DUH! and i have been there, its not safe for an alone woman to perform hajj. Things are insane, so many people- ofcourse he did that with his mom. Its not possible other way!

There are different school of thoughts.. Or rather I should say opinion. In my family they consider it to be compulsory. However some of the fatwas are contrary to it. Ofcourse I did not take actual fatwas but read on websites too which can be susceptible to manipulation.
