Disagree... Yeh kaha ka rule hai that female lead should be dominating! Vidya in Paa, Kajol in MNIK and etc etc etc all have won actress award but were dominated by male actor herein case of Amitabh and SRK

And Priyanka was star of her ownin the film, half of reviews clearly said that she had overpowered Ranbir in film!

But yes touhgh competition is there especially between Sridevi, PC and Vidya

*Vidya Balan- Kahaani She is one of the two actresses who I think can get the award

*Kareena Kapoor - Heroine, EMAET(I highly doubt but she was fab in this) It seems doubtful. May be they can give her supporting actress award for Talaash to keep her happy as they did last year with Rani.

*Karishma Kapoor- Dangerous Ishq The movie was a flop, so I don't think she'll get it.

* Deepika Padukone - Cocktail Its too soon for her to get the award

* Bipasha Basu - Raaz 3 No, she won't be getting. I'm pretty sure about that. She is not that popular.

* Rani Murkerji - Aiyaa Can't comment now. Need to see the fate of her film at the box office first.

* Sridevi - English Vinglish She might get the critics choice award but not popular.

*PC - Barfii She is the other actress who I think can get the award

* Katrina - ETT No chance of her getting the award among such heavyweights

* Anushka Sharmac-Jab Taj Hai Jaan No luck for her either.

Few days back NDTV had a survey on all time favorite actress.. Madhuri and Sridevi got respectively 54% and 44% votes.. Rest 2% were shared by all the other contemporary or old actresses..

I dont think any other actress stands any chance if they consider popularity for a Best Actress award.. However, I think by all means, competition for second position should be between Vidya and PC.. Rest of them dont have a stand.. And for No.1 position, I still think SD would take the cake.. 😊

Anyways, lets see 😃

I really think it's just between Vidya and Priyanka.

Haven't seen Heroine or English Vinglish but I don't think a comeback actress can win the best actress award...It doesn't seem very likely. Not saying that its fair or anything.

I would love for Sridevi to get it but I think PC will win... coz her role was challenging and her movie did well.

Vidya - might with kahani

Rani - depends on Box office

Bipasha, Deepika, Katrina, Kareena -nope its a strong competition with A-list actresses...good movies with good performances and box office success...

Karishma - nope coz film flopped

I don't believe in such poll. A month back it was NDTV itself who has declared Hema Malini as the greatest actress of all time and Sridevi was nowhere among the top 5 list. For popular choice award they not only consider the popularity of the actor/actresses but also the film and the box-office result of English Vinglish is not very encouraging(as per current report).
