In a long interview where she spoke of how she was enjoying being single again, Preity also spoke about her best friend in the industry, her new book, being a producer, and her experience of working with one-movie old Director Prem and debutant male lead Rhehan in Ishkq in Paris.
She praised Prem's impressive energy levels when working on a medium sized budget while Rhehan got praised for his eagerness to learn and for losing flab to get fit for the role. Turning Producer for the first time with Ishkq in Paris, Preity said actors have it easy and that being a producer is a tough and thankless job.
'All big stars are my friends', she told Daily Bhaskar and said Salman never left her a chance to ask her other friends to appear in her film. She identified Aishwarya as her best friend in the industry.
Speaking about her newly found independence after a long relationship with Ness Wadia, she said it was good not to have a man in her life. Preity said she was enjoying the independence and was sure right things would come at the right time. She also said she never feared doing what she wanted to and never listened to naysayers.
