Just because some people remained married doesn't necessarily mean one of them was being a doormat. Sometimes a couple makes an actual new beginning, recognizing whatever problems there were in the relationship, admitting their mistakes and making a genuine effort to rebuild. It's not impossible though very tough. Admittedly many such cases are basically people conforming to the demands of society or to retain their social/economic status. But still, can't judge everyone the same way.

For all those saying its only men at fault, i disagree. Women like rekha or priyanka etc have been equally at fault. Its both ways, not a one-sided thing.
