Saif Ali Khan talking about his plans for the future
Actor Saif Ali Khan, who has been around for almost two decades, is pretty clear on what he wants his life to be like, ten years down the line. The actor, who comes from a royal family, is making sure he earns a lot of money now to lead a comfortable life later. "I would like to make lots of money so that I can have the kind of life I want to with family and friends. This is the time to build and consolidate and I am glad I am in a profession that lets me do all that. I am happy I have a sense of right and wrong. I know when I am spoiling myself. There is a standard of living I am used to and I want to stick to that. Nothing too extravagant and nothing too high or low," he states.
Though the actor has done a couple of films that haven't worked well at the box-office, Saif is pretty happy with his choice of films ' some good, some bad. "I am quite relaxed with these things. I don't get too nervous. I am excited to see what happens. Some ideas work. Some don't work. As long as you are lucky to keep working, you shouldn't think too much. You have to enjoy making the films, the process and even the ones that don't work. They are very special to you. You only have regrets about serious things in life. How can you have regrets about films that you enjoyed working in and made such beautiful memories? The film doesn't work, bad luck. It shouldn't shatter you, or throw you off. Neither should the success make you feel like you are a genius. You aren't. It was just an idea that worked. Hopefully you will stay sane that way," adds Saif.
We ask him what he thinks about himself as an actor? Who is better between him and his lady love, actor Kareena Kapoor? "Potentially, I think I am a good actor. As for, who's better amongst us, it's hard to say. Kareena has also become very, very good. I think when I met her, I would have been a better actor, I am not so sure now. She is hugely talented and the camera loves her," he smiles.
