I am not his fan NEVER LIKED him as an actor find him verey boring in actin g BUT he did have POTENTIAL to be in BETTER POSITION than he is today

He already had HYPE for his debute REFUGEE i mean AMITBAH BACHAN'S SON making debute directed by JP DUTTA (AFTER BORDER) AWESOME MUSIC but kismat khraab people still were reeling over HRITHIKMANIA that they gave refugee miss and BERADED HERO was no match for MUSCLE METROSEXUAL hriuthik

abhishke gave another 2 flops same year but there was still HOPE

but he continues giving flops

however u can tell he was shwoing an EFFOORT to improve and making an affort to act

then came his FIRST HIT OF CAREER DHOOM IN 2004 many people even called this ZANJEER for abhishek (since his fatherr was also flop streak and gave 1st hit as police officer)

then came his GOLDEN YEAR 2005 PROBABLY THE BEST YEAR OF HIS CAREER

started with B&B movie was WINNER AT BOX OFFICE and abhishek gained MOMENTUM

then SARKAR ANOTHER HIT PEOPLE STARTEED NOTICING ABHISHEK HAS ARRIVED

DUS SOLIDFIED HIS POSITION AS UPCOMING STAR

people and media even calling him RIGHTFULL HEIR OF BACHAN'S THRONE

and then BLUFFMATSER ANOTHER HIT and by end of 2005 ABHISHEK WAS ECEN BEING COMPARED TO SRK

CEOMS KANK DESPITE SRK PRESENCE ABHISHEK WON GOOD PRAISE

but u also start noticing ABHISHEK LACKED THAT ENTHAUSIASM WHICH HE SHOWED IN 2005 films but it was not issue

come UMRAO JAAN movie floped but people awaiting DHOOM2 but sadly HRITHIK WALKED ALL OVER HIM and people question abhishek career

yet again abhishek did UTURN WITH GURU and again people saw emerging star

but then came his OWRST BLUNDER PERHAPS FINAL NAIL TO HIS CAREER JHOOM BARABRT JHOOM not only was flop BUT WORST WOM FROM AUDINCE

and he got married to AISH

SINCE 2008-2012 abhishek has been not not same actor of DHOOM BLOFFMASTER BUNTI AUR BABLY

he seem to got LAZY and HIS OVER RELIANCE ON HIS FATHER HAS KILLD HIS IMAGE

even actors who debute after him are now ABOVE than him like ranbir , shahid even imran and abhay deol

so questions is WHAT HAPENNED

Nothing happened. Abhishek is a mediocre actor who gets mediocre films and he will be a mid-level star for the rest of his life. There's nothing wrong with that. Everyone can't be No.1.

He never had a career to begin with. He's had 2 solo hits out of 50+ movies. Contrary to public perception Dostana, Sarkar, Bluffmaster and Dus are not HITS. They all range from Average to Semi-Hits.

The problem with Abhishek is he's never had a huge opening and then followed up with an All India certified HIT. At least a film he had to carry. That is the sign of a star. People don't want to watch him, plain and simple. Add to that the massive disasters he churns out periodically and along with his father and Sunjay Dutt, he's the biggest liability of the industry.

AB jr should go the Emraan Hashmi way or the pre 2004 Saif way or a combo of both. Second leads in big banner movies like Saif or low budget films like Hashmi which don't have a problem recovering their costs. AB jr can't carry 50+ Cr budgets like Drona and Players and its about time he realized it.

funny thing is his flops are not just normal flops but EPIC FLOPS
