He's interested, very interested. He's just not interested in regular formula films. You can tell by his filmography he's always chosen the hatke subject right from his debut film to his first production. Its the Bachchan surname that is holding him down. The expectations are to do formula films and give hits but AB would rather be free like a Abhay Deol and do whatever he pleases.
Hits are not hard to get if you work with the right people and after experimental Raavan, KHJJS and Game. He's back in commercial mode with Players, Bol Bachchan, Dhoom 3 and Dostana 2. Last 3 are guaranteed hits. Lets take care of business first, then go back to experimenting.

he neither has th fan base like khans n hrithik nor is he fresh like ranbir n imran. i smhow felt he cudn't find his right place in th industry. and th burden of carrying on th mantle of bachan name isn't easy either.

I think what went wrong is that people finally realised he's a no talent riding on the pull and influence of his fathers name. The guy's a hack, his success stems from the fact that he is Amitabh's son. He even copies his fathers dancing style. lmao.

The only decent film he did was Yuva (Delhi 6 was good too).

Sadness is what happened.

I always have and probably will keep liking him loads. He HAS screen presence! Most actors try to look cool on-screen; I think he IS cool. He doesn't have to try. With movies like Yuva, Bluffmaster, even that shitfest Dus, and Dostana, he was refreshing to the CORE.

He WAS cool in these movies; he had some sort of a suave element, his comic timing was great... he kinda effortlessly did things that many actors have been trying to pull off, but could never do so smoothly.

I guess its just a taqdeer da recession in his case at the moment... I've still got hope for him, and I kow I'm in the minority, so I don't need reminding 😆

1st people were excited when amitabh and abhishekk in b&b infact that was movie's USP

but acted in som many movies together that it became TIRESOME

Guys, his overly-elite mannerisms and an image of perfection ruined it all. Neither does he have the looks of a contemporary actor, nor does he have the charm and charisma in him. His acting skills are sub-par and his dialogue delivery is forced. To add to that, he can't dance to save his life!

The year 2000 marked its beginning with the debut of 4 major actors - Kareena, Hrithik, Amisha, and Abhishek. However the distance between each of these actors is the same.

Kareena is miles ahead of Hrithik, who's miles ahead of Abhishek, who's miles of Amisha.

That's one hell of an evenly spread out structure!

he should have found a niche for himself, instead he just tagged on to his last name. He has a great comic timing, he should try to do something along the line...may be direct a comedy. i dont think he is going to accomplish much in acting any more.

i think abhishek is actually a really good actor i jsu think he doesnt get good film offers anymore. n i think his n rani's jodi was rly helping both of them they shud do anothe rmovie together

now with new actors like ranbir n imran its harder for abhishek
