Mukesh Khanna, Puneet Issar, Arjun... Sunday Mornings were booked on TV for this EPIC Serial, even when sometimes on TV i watch some Episode, it's remarkable 2 See Such Huge Talent.

Hollywood has the advantage of Technology, which we lack behind. I Hope now when we have some upper hand in that kind of technology, now some big producers can take initiative to make Mythological film.

Exactly...I agree with you once again. But it will be tough to create 3hrs package to have similar effect.

Why not, we can have the best of Serial, in Some episodes where there is like Pandu is romancing, we can skip that... Very Imp Parts we can combine... like Bheeshm pitamah taking pledge, then we can have episode like in 1 episode Single Arjun defeated all kauravas... ho sakta hai... it is possible... i can make 🤪

That's easier said than done. Picking up best parts to create one! Heard about how camel was created by God?

He is a modern day God. No one created him. He creates others. Bow down and take a blessing.

Mythological movies do get made once in a while but hardly they do justice to the stories we have grown up with

a historical movie Urumi has been released in tamil & malayalam by santosh sivan , ppl who liked asoka by him will sure shot love it . I was awe struck by both script & powerhouse performances, if possible you guys check it out

Like Aamir once said, he wants to make Mahabharata but 20years will go in research only. True that. Not 20 years but making a Mytho movie does require lot of researching. And no, content is not at all the problem. If people want to make a Ramayana, simply refer to Tulsidas and Valmiki's Ramayana, if you want to make Mahabharata, refer to Ved Vyas Mahabharata, if you want to make something on Lord Krishna or Lord Shiv, take Bhagwatam or Shivpurana respectively. Also, refer to the great saints like Kripalu ji or Bal Bhadracharya ji and the likes. The only reason for many versions of same stories is bcoz of the # of chataryugas that have passed. But for THIS yuga's stories.. you just refer to the main sources of the legends and nothing is confusing. Its not at all difficult. But people these days don't really have time for putting so much efforts into something religious so its better they don't make rather than making a khichdi.

The Immortals of Mehula is Not the actual story of Lord Shiv. It's a fictious novel so we can't put it into the mythological category. And even the Mahadev show running on air right now, no offence but its showing a lot of fake stories. Things that didn't even happen. But people love it not bcoz of the stories but the "good looking" actors and the awesome sets and the filmy lovescenes being shown in it. etc. I dont mind that at all but the stories are absolutely unauthentic which is why its disappointing.

On the other hand, South makes a lot of religious movies moreso on the devotees of the Gods and its fantastic to watch them. They're authentic, well made and properly handled. Three things which Bollywood lack big time IMO.

Oh and, Nitish Bhardwaj and 4 of the 5 pandavas from BR Chopra's MB are coming back in a movie called Ghatothkach. One of the pandavas has been changed for some reason. But, yes, I am excited for this movie because I think some research has gone into making it and I LOVED those actors. They all did one big role in their career and left an impact and mark for life. MB is reairing AGAIN on Star Utsav for the nth time. Lets see how the movie does 😊

@Jess: thankyou! :)
