First things first, I have been a staunch capitalist since i was a kid. Individualism, self-interest, economic freedom? A few more servings of that please. With that said, as i grew older, I have grown more appreciative of certain aspects of socialism, and definitely feel a completely free-market un-regulated market place will crash and burn (ahem ahem. recession)

With that said here goes: Communism is not misunderstood, it is impossible. Is the heart of human nature to achieve utopian equality, or is it to compete, dream, and have the strongest and brightest succeed? Are we not built to shoot for something big and create something even bigger. Yes, yes, the rich get richer and the poor get poorer in a completely free market society. But is the communist alternative better? Everyone is equal, true, but everyone is also equally poor. Command economies are stifling to the human spirit, and the fruits of ones efforts are distributed without adequate attention to skill. If i do better than my neighbor, do i not deserve better as well? It is true that the proletariat must eventually overthrow the bourgeoisie, for that too is the heart of the human condition. The weak and repressed will revolt against the elite. But why must communism be the model through which such a scenario is seen? Social emancipation is a tune all cultures have sung before. Why must such an idea be attached to a model bound to fail. A fair capitalist society can allow the poor to grow rich and the rich to grow poor as well. I suppose then, the key to all this talk is a level of 'reasonableness'. Socialism punctured with laisez faire principles, and capitalism diluted with socialist values. We mustn't abandon the less fortunate and the least disadvantaged people in society. But we must also not disregard the need for competition, and the drive of individual human progress. Thus, I must humbly reject this failed dream of communism, and chose modern welfare capitalism.

Best gift you have ever received?
Ooo i've received tons of unique presents. One of the best ones is this cd called 'cheap magic inside', which features Beirut walking around various places in Paris playing songs from their album The Flying Club Cup. Its like an elongated music video. Another was an Yves Saint Laurent gold solid perfume and lipstick. A super rare Japanese-French Amelie film poster was also quite special.

What would you do if you could spend one hot/sexy night with Abhay Deol but would only meet the love of your life 10 years later if you did? If you skipped the rumble in the sack with AD, you would meet the chosen one in a year!

I'd skip the one night stand with abhay. I couldn't bare living the next 10 years knowing that whoever I meet even if I really like them it wouldn't be long-lasting. All my relationships would end up being empty.

In the scenario above, if you opted not to spend the night with AD, would your choice change if the 10 years to meet your true love reduced to 5? Or 2? 😆

Haha, lets assume i'm single right now and I were to meet my bf two years from now? if so, then haha damn yes.
