I disagree. No one cares for Madhuri today, the older generation have moved on, and the younger generation is hardly aware of her 'legendary' works. She was extremely popular at her prime, but sorta lost it from the late nineties as Kajol and Ash took her glory. Even the success of Devdas could not save her sinking career.

As for Yash's film with her, who cares anyway? I don't. 😆 DTPH and VZ were horrific enough to last me a lifetime. And SRK's face and hamming is a major turn off, so thank you very much. I am not even going to bother.

I guess Yash C. knows no one cares for him or his movies anymore, and that even the critics today are not fools to drool over heart-shaped balloons flying in the sky or people using dialogues straight ripped from Harlequin books. Hence he chose Katrina; on that way, the films is guaranteed a good opening at the very least. 😆

And at the actual topic: well, Madhuri was not a great actress, but even then Katrina is no way comparable to her in terms of acting. However, in terms of star power, Katrina is equal to her, if not marginally better!

🤣🤣🤣🤣
For real? Please. Does Katrina know Madhuri also danced with her FACE ie expressions alone?
Let's not even start comparing Madhuri's acting talent to Katrina's non-existant one.

She never said she is today's madhuri she just said she wants to be like her! its her ambition, even if she fails badly, i dont think it calls out for bashing her!

Comparing anyone to madhuri is madhuri's insult! i appreciate katrina for over coming her limitations and despite being a britisher doing the desi thumkas well! she is not better than madhuri for sure but compared to her contemporaries she is definitely better. Take kareena for instance, despite having karisma as her sister who is an amazing dancer, she can barely move!
Her mujra which was supposed to bring the aadayaein n nazakatein of rekha back in memmories made us cringe!
atleast she looks up to be like some1 and compared to her "zara zara touch me days to sheila n now to chikni chameli, she has definitely improved! nothing wrong with having an inspiration in mind! She aint yelling im the best or i have got the best of both the worlds!

sinking career...how long does a woman have a career in bollywood.😕 if we take the account of all actresses, she probably became much successful similar to shahrukh at that point...but she is a woman at the end..she can't work like shahrukh and neither the hypocrite society in india will accept her unlike hollywood...after Sridevi, Madhuri was the most criticially and commercially appreciated woman and ruled over her times..she was also called female amitabh bacchan at tht time...Katrina has also given huge hits..still giving...why doesn't media acknowledge her in that sense ?

trust me i am no Madhuri fan...i love Urmila, and prefer her on madhuri anyday...but the fact is a fact...it can't be ruled out..

Exactly the kind of image Kat wants for herself. From being the quintessential glam doll, she has graduated to more serious roles.
And in London, where she is shooting with Shah Rukh Khan, she is displaying these ambitions to all and sundry, aware that the film can take her a to a different level altogether. "She personally has been shopping for accessories and clothes for the film. Katrina has envisioned her character and knows that she is the only one who can do justice to it. The song they are currently shooting in London will make other romantic songs in the industry sound and look mediocre," says her spokesperson.
We wonder what her contemporaries will have to say to that.

Great... Kat's giving us a new definition of serious roles... 😆

Serious roles = Personally shopping for accessories and clothes... 🤓

Agreed, I was just rebutting KSH's point about Katrina only having a career because Madhuri isn't here - that's not true. Point is, even if MD was doing films, the public still wouldn't have cared much.

Katrina lacks acting talent in spades so I don't know why the media would hail her as a female AB, something MD def. had (though I find MD overrated but that's beside the point). What I implied in my last para is that, if there's any actress who can be compared with MD as a STAR, then Katrina it is. Otherwise no female celeb. after MD had the star power that she possessed. Rani came close but lost it somewhere very soon.

No she can't be an as good dancer as Madhuri or give those expressions but both these actresses are beautiful! Kat is a bit prettier actually.. But these two shouldn't be compared.
