For those who think who was more popular. I say it is Kat. Madhuri's songs were a hit but her roles in movies were not much remembered. In fact, none of them are worth remembering too. Except for a couple of films, she was a mediocre actress.

Sorry i don't think Madhuri was as Popular as Katrina in her heydays.And also lot of things have changed since 90's.Even in these days of Media overexposure katrina is able to remain No 1.Madhuri won't survive if she debuted now.

Is this a joke? The word WOODEN says it all. She can NEVER inherit Madhuri's legacy. Not even a chance😳 Kat needs to come out of her fantasy land and realize she is not even 1% of Madhuri.

I like that Katrina looks upto Madhuri but there can never be another Madhuri. Madhuri could and still can give the actresseses of today a run for their money. Madhuri is one of a kind.

I disagree. No one cares for Madhuri today, the older generation have moved on, and the younger generation is hardly aware of her 'legendary' works. She was extremely popular at her prime, but sorta lost it from the late nineties as Kajol and Ash took her glory. Even the success of Devdas could not save her sinking career.

As for Yash's film with her, who cares anyway? I don't. 😆 DTPH and VZ were horrific enough to last me a lifetime. And SRK's face and hamming is a major turn off, so thank you very much. I am not even going to bother.

I guess Yash C. knows no one cares for him or his movies anymore, and that even the critics today are not fools to drool over heart-shaped balloons flying in the sky or people using dialogues straight ripped from Harlequin books. Hence he chose Katrina; on that way, the films is guaranteed a good opening at the very least. 😆

And at the actual topic: well, Madhuri was not a great actress, but even then Katrina is no way comparable to her in terms of acting. However, in terms of star power, Katrina is equal to her, if not marginally better!

Looks like you really have no knowledge about Madhuri's times if you think her roles were not popular. She used to have the capacity to carry commercial films on her shoulders. She outshone even Salman in HAHK. While your precious Kat is simply grateful if she gets to get a 5 min item number in his movie. Its not for nothing that Madhuri can return to India and command so much of adulation after being away for more than 10 years. This despite not marrying a filmy guy. No wonder Katrina wants to emulate her.

Actor Katrina Kaif may have lived in London before she stepped into B-Town but she apparently always harboured ambitions to be a part of this industry. Ever since her first film, Kat has usually been offered roles that highlight her Anglo-Indian side, but she has apparently been waiting to play a typical Indian heroine for a while now.
A source close to her reveals this side of Katrina. "Kat is dressed in a western attire in most of the films she's done so far. They were the girl-next-door kind of roles. Most of her films did not require her to wear Indian clothes. But Katrina has been waiting to play the role of a demure, Indian woman and that is finally happening with her upcoming film with superstar Shah Rukh Khan. Kat has been shooting with him in London since a month now and is extremely happy with the way her role is shaping up. One particular song that has been shot has got her extremely excited," the source reveals.
Her look in the film is a little close to that of actors Sridevi and Madhuri Dixit-Nene. Katrina is a huge fan of their works and hopes to have a career graph like theirs too. The source adds, "When Kat got to know that a song was being shot, in which her look was to resemble Sridevi's in Chandni and Madhuri's in Dil Toh Pagal Hai, she took the extra effort to pay more attention to the look. She was so excited that she herself looked into the costumes and accessories for the song. She was also closely inspecting the shoot's progress to ensure she gave it her best shot. Considering her look was similar to that of two of the biggest actors in B-Town, she didn't want to leave any room for improvement."

What adulation? Acting in a 2 sec "Kanta bai" type dishwashing powder commercial and dragging her emasculated, hapless hubby like a personal serf to all the glamor parties to show her presence in Mumbai? And occasionally floating a "5 crore" movie deal rumor which never materializes? She thought that she could just saunter back in, frsh from surgery and botox, and get movie deals falling like coins in her lap. She has just been reduced to a professional party-attender like Sonali and Raveena.
