If an actor is working hard for a film then so is the actress. Asking for the same price as the actor is IMO not wrong.

read my post carefully..nowhere have i mentioned Kareena.

But yes she deserves to be paid the same price as the actors. And y just kareena all the actresses should be paid what the actors are being paid. Compared to the actors the actresses are being paid quite a meager sum.

I do not agree... the Khans deserve to be paid more..they are the ones who make the movie work..

Kareena shooting her mouth off as usual...

Coming to the point, her asking for equal pay is not wrong. However, for that she has to give confidence to the producer that she is worth it.

If your role in the movie is merely as a prop for the hero, then naturally you cant expect to be paid equal to them. As for her roles with Imran and JWM, romantic movies are watched more by girls and so the producer banks more on the 'chocolate' power of the hero. Yes, this is discrimination against the female actors.

After her recent humungous successes I would like to see how much Vidya gets. She has managed to hold a movie together by herself. Kareena had her opportunity with Chameli and WAF (with Kajol as well) but what happened

Kareena worked as hard for EMAET as Imran. Everyone agrees to that. I am sure Katrina also worked as hard as him for MBKD. Yet they are paid lesser than him by Dharma/YRF who call them in-house heroines.

I agree with that! however the khans..including her own boyfriend deserves more money

And seeing the discrepency between Imran & Kareena, I'd say her comparison was valid and more to showcase the difference than really saying, "Yeah I want as much as them".

She gets paid less than her beau, who isnt even as big a star as her.

Doesnt matter what her tone was. If she had small roles in her movies and she got paid proportionately that was fine. Afterall in the time she saved from a movie she could have done more endorsements or another movie to make up for it. But seriously getting paid less than Imran is weird.
