C) When she couldnt look beyond the Khans? My dear, she signed Heroine with Arjun Rampal, Randeep Hooda, and Rakesh BEFORE The Dirty Picture even released. She also did We Are Family with Arjun, and Golmaal seriesi with the Golmaal gang. So she got over her Khan obsession way before TDP came into being.

And as for always criticizing her on her Khan pairings, I wanna see Vidya Balan turn down a film with Shahrukh, Aamir, Salman 😉

A)As I said earlier its better to make your own inferences from the actions. So lets wait and watch for Heroine to see how TDP has influenced it.

B)As you wish to look at it. But I dont think she would have even done this movie despite the other factors before TDP.

C)Heroine you pretty well know the history behind it. By the time it came back to Kareena the film was already having so much buzz around it that it made sense to do it esp if she got 8cr+profit percentage+promise of National Award. Now she cant get all that in a film with the Khans can she? But she agreed to do the bold scenes AFTER the release of TDP.

And yeah I am sure Vidya will do a Khan film too if she gets one with a decent role.

Anyways I think we are going round in circles so I will state what I want to say once and for all-Kareena went for A list costars when Katrina was doing the same to get her hits. But that got her lot of flak as afterall she isnt Katrina but Kareena and the expectations from her are different. So when Heroine came back to her it was at the right time and she took it up on her own terms. But then suddenly TDP came along and Vidya got more hype than her. So she started countering Vidya by following her recepie for success ie being bold+acting well and trying to create a new screen pairing with EH.

@Desu, Kareena is brought up time and again, because there are no other actress in the running as far as both stardom and acting chops are concerned!

Besides Vidya, Kareena is the only actress in recent times who has garnered critical acclaim as well as given commerical hits!

Whom will we compare Vidya with? Katrina? Priyanka? I am not even mentioning Sonam or Deepika here...

And just like Vidya, Kareena is the only actress who has a great line-up of films awaiting her...so as long as both of them are in the news, they will keep getting compared to one another...and fans of both the actors will keep defending and accusing the other!😆

Its a compliment to both these lovely ladies...and I think, we should all toast to their individual and combined success! Its not easy for women to achieve such staggering success in a country like ours...and they have both done it, in their own way! (and so has Katrina...but I don't count her, cause she is British! Similarly, if Priyanka had a backbone and some dignity, I would have cheered for her equally...)

As of now, Vidya is ruling the roost...because she has given 5 back to back hits, in which she had a strong role to play...Kareena has also given blockbuster hits, but she was just one of the many reasons why the film was a hit and not the main reason for it! Hopefully, Heroine will turn the tide in her favour and then we can have some really heated discussion on who is more secure or insecure!😉😆

PS: I am very happy either ways...I love both Vidya and Kareena as actors and its really nice to see them getting success! Admittedly, I relate more to Vidya than Kareena, but still, if either of them do a great film and get good reviews, I will surely go and watch them!

Then let me also state what I want.

Everyone will infer why Kareena did what she did. Because people ALREADY HAVE their own perception of her, they will always be biased against her actions.

BECAUSE you think she's insecure you will take her actions and attach a motive to them that matches that mindset, rather than her actions spelling out her insecurity.

If another actress had:

1) Signed a Dharma Balaji project, you would have accused the PRODUCERS of finally choosing Emran because of TDP. Instead, you pick on the actress for "signing" the film BECAUSE you wanna scrutinize her for her nature.

2) Kareena had all but signed Heroine even teh FIRST time. Hell, there's an interview with Faridoon when Kareena gives the statement, and i QUOTE "I am dedicated to doing Heroine". It was only a few weeks later that it turned out that despite her best efforts, she coudlnt do it coz she was shooting for too many films and Madhur wanted to go ahead with his film without waiting. All this is backed up by various articles that are still posted in the Heroine topic on Kareena's forum.

When it came back to her, she was done with Bodyguard and Ra.One, hence she had the dates.
But ofcourse, you will find another motive for why she turned it down and took it back up because you believe she's greedy, insecure, and only did the film to get back at XYZ actress. Fair enough.

No, its coz she's not an underdog.

People will only pull Kareena down and make presumptions about her feeling insecure over Vidya. It will not be the other way, I assure you. And you know it.

Kareena will always been denied her success.

Golmaal 3 was an ensemble cast.

We Are Family was an average, so not a hit (even though it did better business than all of Vidya's films barring TDP)

3 Idiots is Aamir's film. Ra.One is Srk's film. Bodyguard is Salman's flim. EMAET is a rom com, so it HAD to do well and Imran's a star as well you know?

Agent Vinod is Saif's film, Talaash will once agian be Aamir's film. And if Heroine does well, it will be due to the controversy surrounding the film, not the lead actress.

What's left?

Oh yeah, the Balaji-Dharma project iwll do well due to Emran only, and SLB"s project will do well due to the director.

Kareena will always have less starpower and talent than Vidya, Katrina, XYZ

I dont understand why is kareena always brought into these things! well clearly coz she is the only one atm who can give vidya a competition in terms of acting!

Clearly every one has his strengths and weaknesses and no one can do it all! i believe what vidya did in TDP couldnt have been done better than anyone even kareena but i also feel what kareena did in JWM and the way she pulled it out soo naturally could have never been done by vidya as well!

cant we make peace with the fact that they are somehow actresses of different genres instead of tagging one as being in-secure of other!

so what do i call vidya's kk or hey baby, insecurity? that she despite being an amazing actress went to do roles which focus more on dressing and looking glamouress than on acting!

if we look at such teensy tiny details then trust me they all follow each other's trends! that doesnt mean they are insecure!

and somehow i feel kareena is targetted more! like now with heroine if she even wins a national award people will say whats the big deal it has been won by priyanka even and if she doesnt they'll rip her apart saying priyanka can but she cant!

Why only Kareena?Even PC,Katrina are also insecure of Vidya's back to back success.Vidya has stolen the thunder from them in an unexpected way.So it is very natural to be insecure.Kareena did Golmaal to show that she also have the ability to be a super show piece,Chammak Challo in reply of Sheila Ki Jawani,bold scenes in Heroine in reply of Vidya's boldness in TDP.
Every top star is insecure.And i am happy that Kareena is tying her luck in versatile roles rather than giving interviews which reflects her insecurity.

whtever it takes for her to give us some gr8 performances...im game...

Ive always felt, kareena is at her best when shes in her "I'll show em" vengeance mode.(chameli, omkara, JWM, dev were all by-products of tht)...if insecurity is wht drives her to give us her best...then so be it...actually isnt tht the case with everyone? Vidya gave a Paa, only after being horribly panned for KK, Hey babyy and the works... Failure, criticism, insecurity and a desire to prove urself is wht drives people to success...universal rule...

BRING IT ON Miss kapoor...i couldnt care less abt her feelings offscreen being "right" or "wrong"..i just care abt her kicking ass in the movies...🥳
