Tsk tsk, coming up with excuses to take the success away from her, now arent we?

Kareena's a bigger star than Imran.
And if this logic applies, then why not credit some success of Bodyguard to her as well? Even if Salman is a huge star, isnt Kareena "a star herself"? 😆

A) Going bold report was already denied by Madhur Bhandarkar who said that they havent made any changes to the script they agreed upon. But ofcourse, lets not believe anything these stars saw. We must ONLY believe in blind gossip and speculation that make stars look bad or what we WANT to see them as 😉

B) I dont think she'd sign any RANDOM film opposte Emran. She's signing this film coz two of the BIGGEST PRODUCTION houses (Dharma and Balaji) are coming together for one of the biggest projects. And she's already worked with teh KHans and needs new costars. Now if she truly was jealous of Vidya, why not start workign some more with Naseerudin Shah? 😛

C) When she couldnt look beyond the Khans? My dear, she signed Heroine with Arjun Rampal, Randeep Hooda, and Rakesh BEFORE The Dirty Picture even released. She also did We Are Family with Arjun, and Golmaal seriesi with the Golmaal gang. So she got over her Khan obsession way before TDP came into being.

And as for always criticizing her on her Khan pairings, I wanna see Vidya Balan turn down a film with Shahrukh, Aamir, Salman 😉

Every successful person is insecure...their very success makes them insecure, because they know that it cannot last for long!

Its just that, some people show their insecurity in the most obvious manner (SRK) while some are more subtle about it (Aamir). But there is not one single actor in either Bollywood or in India who is not insecure about his or her position!

Vidya looks more sure about herself...or rather she looks unaffected by her success and failure...that just shows her to be a very stable and sensible sort of woman...while Kareena is prone to making hasty and sometimes silly sounding statements, which makes her appear to be sort of immature! (Not lately though..hitting 30's does change women...in a positive way!)

That is the only difference, I can see in terms of who is more secure or insecure...I am pretty sure, Vidya is just as insecure...more so, because she has achieved so much success and all by herself...the pressure on her to prove herself in film after film must be immeasurable! Its just that she takes it with a great deal of equanamity and looks chilled out about everything! (Another trait I love about her!)

And that said and done, there would be comparisons between Vidya and Kareena when Heroine releases...mind you, if Aishwarya had starred in Heroine, there would have been no comparisons...there is no question of comparing Ash with Vidya...but with Kareena...there would inevitably be comparisons! And this is a compliment to both Vidya and Kareena...because they are both genuinly talented actress, who have proved themselves several times over by now! Its only a question of who is the first amongst equals?

@Pink: Thats exactly what you do when it comes to other stars as in Katrina for MBKD and now Vidya in Kahaani.

@Blue: I have always attributed the success of Bodyguard to both Kareena and Salman. Afterall Bodyguard did better than Ready. It opened well due to Salman, hype about Katrina's item song and Kareena's presence and did well after that due to both Salman and Kareena. I am not one of those members who refuses to attribute Bodyguard's success to Kareena too.

But I could still have countered that point. I just wanted to bring up the fact that you're doing what you accuse me of doing and knew you were doing it deliberately as well.

My only complaint in this entire thread is...what are we discussing based on?

The article gave no proof, action or words, to show her insecurity, but members are more than happy to start discussing why she must be feeling isnecure.

What is Kareena? Some out of work actress who's scared that her fame is being taken away?
She is Kareena Kapoor. Love her, hate her, she's a superstar, doing great work, and getting the biggest projects coming her way.
If she's insecure, so is Vidya, so is Priyanak, so is Katrina. So no point singaling her out.

I'm sorry to say, but if it wasn't for the appreciation that Vidya and Emraan got as a couple and seperate for TDP, kareena would have never signed the Dharma/Balaji film.
She clearly did not sign it for the production houses.. Definately has to keep up with her contemporaries.
