Guru had Vidya in a short role and that wasn't a flop! She is not suited for films like Heyy Baby or Kismet Connection! Even though they were successful at the box office, noone remembers these movies today. But who cares? She has left those films far behind and is in an enviable position today!!!!! 😃

Vidya doesn't NEED an A-lister. She's ruling without them. 😃

And barring Ishqiya, ALL of Vidya's films fall under the commercial bracket.Just because they have performance oriented roles and strong scripts doesn't mean they're not commercial.

You mean you want her to do a glam role like the others do.

I am not denying that Choco! 😃 It is just I wish a Khan or big star like Hrithik would do a film with her. SRK praises her, then why not work together?! I wish she could have bagged Yash Chopra's next. But, perhaps she is better off without those films. And I don't want her to do a million glam roles, just one or two. And then she can focus all her energy on doing performance-oriented films like TDP or No One Killed Jessica.

Vidya did not have much to do in Hey Babyy. Im sure she would rock in comedy roles with the right kind of script!

She just did...Kahaani is her best performance yet

and the box office salutes her for the 5 th time in a row!

Saturday Update: Kahaani May Emerge Second Hit Of 2012

Kahaani had a huge jump in business on Saturday of 60-70% from its Friday business. Multiplexes showed huge jumps while single screens also showed improvement but at much lower levels.

The Saturday business of the film will be at least 4.50 crore nett and could even go to around 5 crore nett if places that opened strongly like West Bengal and Mysore have shown the sort of jumps that other metros like Mumbai, Delhi and Pune which opened at lower levels managed to show on Saturday.

The two day collections including paid previews will be in the 8-8.50 crore nett region with the weekend heading for 13.5-14.5 crore nett business and if the film manages good business on the weekdays and second weekend it may emerge the second hit film of 2012 after Agneepath.

EMAET started slow then picked up then fall then rose up again...and in week 2 it just fall fall and fall...second week is always crucial for a movie...
