Kareena Kapoor, Katrina Kaif are the box office queens says Komal Nahata

While everyone in the world is celebrating the Women's Day today, Bollywood has decided to take a look at the female actors who are fighting hard for the last many years to make their place in a male dominant industry.

Thought there are many actresses doing well in the industry, Kareena Kapoor and Katrina Kaif are perhaps the only two who command any kind of respect at the box office, as their films always generate a huge amount.

Kareena, who is rated as the most profitable actress in the B-town, last year, provided the industry with blockbuster like 'Bodyguard' and 'RA.One' and trade analysts think the reason behind her success is her versatility.

"Kareena Kapoor is an acting talent and she can do a variety of roles. She has been part of consecutive hits in the last few years and people are now expecting her films to be blockbusters," said trade analyst Amod Mehra.

Katrina Kaif on the other hand is also having a high time despite the fact that she is not as good as others, when it comes to the Hindi diction.

Well, in Kareena's case, an opinion among the audiences is that she only does films with superstars like Shahrukh Khan, Salman Khan and Aamir Khan, which is why her films get hit. However, when it comes to Katrina, she has hit the big league even without the presence of the Khans in her films for example Namaste London, Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahaani and Mere Brother Ki Dulhan. Although these movies were not huge blockbusters, yet they did quite well at the BO.

In Kat's case, Mehra believes the reason is her luck and star power.

"Her films have managed to do well at the box office quite consistently and she has the star power. She has been quite lucky," Mehra feels.

Keeping all these facts and figures in front, one of the trade pundits, Komal Nahata, reckons that Kareena and Katrina are unquestionably the queens of Indian box office.

"Kareena and Katrina are definitely the only two actors who can be called box office queens," said trade analyst and reviewer Komal Nahata.
