I meant the actresses who try to cross over to Hollywood, like Freida, Tabu (for that one movie) and even Aishwarya despite her failures is still accepted because of her features...I don't think I've heard of any Indian dusky actress try and go for a legitimate movie role or even start an album in the West except for Bipasha, and I don't think her movie looks like a winner

So with PC, this is like a "wait and see" period to gauge what the response of us Indians will be with her trying to do something in a firangi land

The brown vs white thing is outdated. I say go for more variety: blue, green, red, etc. 👍🏼

at first i thought the guy in that pic said that, i was like backstabber much?? But anyways, these remarks are so offensive and immature..

But it seems like to me that priyanka is a little insecure of her skin colour, she always puts on tons of make up quite a few shades lighter of her skin colour...look at this pic, it is quite obvious she has makeup on her arm to match her whitened face...

^^ I remember PC went through a stage of not wearin makeup . I dunno a statement or something but the backlash online was terrible albeit she did look awful :) .. Since then she layers herself always!

In Australia it must b like the states.. The browner the better! Anyways when Ur surrounded by white ppl it doesn't mean anything and it all comes down to features!! And if Ur an awful person inside and attractive outside .. After 1 min Ur external beauty does not really matter! .. Back to the topic.. Madhuri dixit was not fair

Dark skinned or light skinned...PC,Deepika,Katrina,Kareena,Bipasha,etc all have enjoyed success irrespective of their color tone.All of them have managed to pull in the masses.So I really don't see Bollywood being partial towards the light skinned actresses.PC and Deepika is considered as hot as Katrina and Kareena by a large number of people in India.People just tend to be racist when it comes to their own girlfriend,boyfriend,husband and wife.

I think its the Indian mentality and I still see it in normal life not alone in the industry. When a baby is born, the first thing people comment is about his/her colour. also we have so many songs in bollywood that go on about gora mukda and gora badan!! Its actually disgusting 😡

Agreed. When my cousin had a child, another cousin (male) wanted to know if the child was 'black' or 'white' as the mother is fair and father dark. I wanted my mother to say she is zebra shaded and put the guy in place..

its not just a desi thing. my mothers side is lebanese and when anyone there side has kids they want to know blonde hair blue eyes and ..the baby is doomed if is slightly tanned.. i didnt know desis do it too. that is just odd.. arent we all slightly brooowneddd
