noone with a sane mind would apoligise for something that wasn't their fault..he must have felt guilty, only srk and shirish know what really happened and who was at fault...but i applaud shirish for taking such a step...

They have no star power, they have to rely on these actors. Now that all are against them so yes an apology makes sense. Otherwise, they will alienate many in bolly.
