What kind of debate is this??? I really sometimes feel public is too harsh on these stars.They never ask for titles. Ppl, particularly media ,gives them titles popularize it among masses and when then some want to try to take it back which they don't even own. SRK is not even bothered with the title ..stop prefixing his name with the title...then infact he will be most happy. As far as his films failing is concerned...plz every film doesn't have to break previous films record. This in insane way of thinking and living.Good thing will be it should work. Trust me even if films of superstars fail it's still ok. Y should not one fail once in a while???Who said one shud live with the pressure of giving BB continously??? As has his films failing and BO is concerned. Plz check the figures. Ra 1( though i didn't like at all) has made enough money(plz don't go into making cost cause ppl don't gp to theatres looking at that )i guess 240 cr+ worldwide.and Don2(i think best action and intelligent movie produced by bollywood don't compare with hollywood's inception and others in terms of thrill and suspense)is doing well.Don2 is a good movie whether it is successful or failure.I agree with the person that he is atleast experimenting trying to raise the bar of Indian movies.

And ya a movie like Don2 in India will not appeal to masses which doesn't have internet which watches every movie in theatres in front rows.It is for educated ppl with some intelligence to understand the twists and turns.

I am sure single screen mass must not have even understood what movie was abt. It happens to us with some of the hollywood movies like momento, Shutter Island etc. We have to think abt it after the movie is over. It has no item songs, no humor of their standard...i don't think they can understand the subtle humor this film has like when Roma says "down on the floor" and he says "really i am wearing white".And then most ppl who fall in the category of liking this movie will downlaod it from torrent and watch it. This is a fact.

That is how sometimes a good movie also fails cause their target audience unfotunately is the one that watches movie at home. First day BO reports are abt star status rest are abt movie and critic reports of ppl like Masand.I don't see SRK's status going down if it's anything to go by 1st day BO opening.Every time as i said it doesn't have to break the previous record to prove he is the King.

I truly as a fan believe better not give titles if u do let's be nice as humans ...if we like other Khans(i myself like the other 2 as well)invent new titles for them.

PS: My opinion: Don2 is one movie u need to watch 2nd time and plz in 2D and I bet it will grow on you like none. It's excellent. I never thought Don1 was gr8 but now after watching it a couple of times i feel it was such a well made movie. I am sure it's the same with Don2 though i have watched it only once.Such movies need a second watch.

shahrukh is just a bore these days...he neither has the wit, the charm, nor the endearing cockiness tht he used to have during the OSO days...an underwhelming box office record dosent help either...

its just like one big BLAHH...he can still have his title king khan just like everyone else retains their titles...but hes not one right now...not for me atleast.

Well I can't dismiss his achievements in the earlier part of his career where he was the Reigning King. He can keep the title, but past glories just don't hold much currency today, but he's had a fulfilling career no doubt.

Do u remember a disaster movie of Aamir Khan named "Mangal Pandey- the rising" which was released in 2005???😕...then have u forgotten Dhobi Ghat...wasn't Aamir in the film n now its 2011...so how come 12 years? please help me with the calculation...

SRK never went into a sabbatical even if his films flopped...his only absence from films were due to his injuries, which some of the industrywala's made fun of...whereas Aamir always went in the hidding whenever his films flopped...this is in reference to all his films tat he had done in the 90's...

its is ur wish whether u want to consider SRK's contribution to the film industry as a contribution or trash...choice is urs...similarly..its we SRK's fans who have given him the title of "king Khan'...u agree...good enough...u don't ...do we care😉😊?

Mangal Pandey - The Rising is considered an average grosser, as well as Dhobi Ghat. Although, Dhobi Ghat was never really considered a "true" Aamir starrer. That one also was not a flop! Mela was his real true disaster flop that came back in 2000! That is quite an achievement for someone who hardly does films. Sure, he had that four year break between Mangal Pandey - The Rising and Dil Chahta Hai. But, the break did not affect him! And 2012 is just a week away, so it is by default 12 years! 😆 I think SRK's "King Khan" title is overrated. Don 2 and RA1 have shown what an uninspiring actor SRK is. Don 2 irritated me because of SRK's wannabe English accent and his villain is more like a comedy to me! Now, what happened to his acting in DDLJ, Darr, and even Devdas? Those are movies I appreciated his performances. And people say whatever happened to Salman's 90's acting? What happened to SRK's 90's acting and in the past ten years?! Most of SRK's performances have been repetitive, boring, and nothing new to offer. I think Swades was his last real performance, but that movie bombed! Anyway, SRK might be the King Khan, but it is media created and overhyped! SRK has to perform 10 different Swades type of roles to prove me wrong after the torture of RA1 and Don 2! However, that will not happen anytime soon...😲😉
