Hollywood superstar Sharon Stone has revealed that she was so shocked when she first saw her leg crossing scene in 'Basic Instinct', that she slapped director Paul Verhoven in a room full of strangers.
Stone said that though she had been aware that the scene would require her to look as if she was nude, she had never expected it to expose her genitals so thoroughly.
"I knew that we were going to do this leg crossing thing and I knew that we were going to allude to the concept that I was nude, but I did not think that you would see my vagina in the scene," Sharon was quoted as saying.
She added that she had found it so disrespectful and shocking that she had even gone as far as to slap director Paul Verhoven in front of everyone before leaving.
"Later, when I saw it in the screening I was shocked. I think seeing it in a room full of strangers was so disrespectful (to me) and so shocking, so I went into the booth and slapped him (Verhoven) and left," she said.
The sequel 'Basic Instinct 2' is set the theatres later this month.
