Aishwarya unlike other women doesn't need money. And on career front she has achieved more than other actors. She has had worked for the last 20 yrs of her life.

Now coming to her personal life. Marriage at 35 , Baby at 38 ... Will she have any more babies only God knows. I wish she stays home and enjoy this period of Motherhood .

She is one of the fortunate women who has had a great career, good economic security and a loving family I see no dire need for her to do movies that too " EARLY NEXT YEAR".

Why this desperation to work now? First she was so keen to have a child. Was having a Baby was just to please the In laws?

Movies can wait. She needs takes some lessons from KAJOL.

There is more to being a MOTHER than just giving birth. Its a lifetime commitment.

I respect your opinion, but its indeed a very offending post. Why pinpointing at WOMEN? Abhishek went back to work in a first week of the birth of baby, he is also a FATHER he have also LIFE COMMITMENT, its ALSO his personal LOSS, but I never see people complaining about FATHERS getting back to work but when MOTHERS take such decisions its ALWAYS a problem. Its sexist thinking sorry to say, BOTH set of parents haver RIGHT to think about there Individual career's.

Correction, Aishwarya married when she was 33, after 4 years of marriage she had her first baby, and she CERTAINLY can have more babies even after turning 40, so yeah.

Even a normal working women get back to work after 3 months of delivery, maybe things are changing in world and women is no longer baby maker machine and care taker.

Jaya did not stop working after her first baby, nor did Sharmila tagore and that was ages ago, Aishwarya is in 2012 so of course she wont be sitting home, and i would say MORE POWER TO WOMEN for that.

So the nasty truth has come out. Salman forces producers to take his current fling/shag/gf as their heroine. How pathetic.

Link for that: http://www.sridevi.biz/Just%20for%20fun/Roles%20rejected%20by%20Sridevi.htm

and then aishu was offered it and she didn't do it for some reason:

I can't find the exact article, and I tried looking for it. I hope VG can find if not then I shall try later.

So looks like Sri Devi was 1st choice and not Aishu---sorry my bad,😳 But all directors change their words after the final Heroine is selected, so not surprised YC said Madhuri was his first and final choice.

That website/fan blog thing is immensely biased - it's so embarrassing! 😲

They way they are talking down about Dimple + Madhuri. Ugh it's so pathetic. Makes me think they made it up.

I'm sure Yash Chopra was being honest when he said Madhuri was the first and only choice - because he says that he was looking for an accomplished dancer who can tackle western as well as she can do the eastern, and I think Sri was just too old for DTPH at that point of time.

Also, YRC wanted to work with Mahuri throughout the 90s - she was offered Aaina and Darr. Madhuri mentions it in the Filmfare Award speech when she won Best Actress Award for DTPH "I have had two opportunities to work with Yashi ji but they did not work out... but it was worth the wait..."

Also, I highly doubt Aishwarya Rai was even considered for the role. She had no acting experience behind her, and the role required a seasoned actress.

This is quite insulting, to all women actually.
Yes she has the money, she doesn't NEED to work, but ever think that maybe she WANTS to work?
I doubt she'll be flying OUT of India (let alone Mumbai) to shoot. Saying she should spent more time with her baby and less time at work makes her sound like an irresponsible mother (not saying you said this) .. that she won't be looking after her baby.
Like StrangeBoy said .. why all the pressure on Aishwarya to be a stay at home .. why not have Abhishek stay at home with his daughter? I hate how people always point to the mother as the oen who should stay at home while the dad's out being the breadwinner.
I'm sure the both could coordinate their schdueles where one stays at home while the other works. There really is no need for Abhi go out and film 3/4 flop films a year. Whereas Aish shoots like one maybe two films a year.
Anyways I'm SUPER excited to hear that she's planning on shooting again. I hope we hear some real confirmation soon :)

I haven't insulted anyone women here. So please don't jump to wrong conclusions.
Obviously you haven't understood what I m trying to stay. And for your kind information...Taking care of a family is no means less than working outside. I rest my case. I wonder why hundreds of thousands of women go on MATERNITY leave. What is annoying is that little baby is not even a month old.

I have nothing against WOMEN or WORKING WOMEN. :Every woman needs to be financially independent. She has had a 18 year career. So its unlikely her career is going to suffer here.

Aishwarya doesn't have 18 mths for her BABY. What a shame?

I didn't mean to offend anyone here. Why pinpoint women is your question? Because the topic is regarding a woman. That's all.

Like I said , Nurturing a child is the primary responsibility of a parent. Abhishek wasn't discussed bec the movie was not offered to him.

Going back to work after 3 mths most often for a normal woman is out of no choice...There are lakhs of women who would love to stay home and max time out. Anyway I see no reason to argue over it. To each his own.

It is a shame, that a mother needs to discontinue working after delivery because apparently if she does start working right after, she doesn't care enough for her child? What about the dad? If the dad works, he is still a good father and gives enough time to express care and love? This would only make sense if Aishwarya was going to spend the next two years shooting overseas without her child, which would really be sad. There are mothers who are always at home with their child but do not develop a good relationship with their children and there are others who do. So, really it depends on the person, the family etc. However, truth be told, we will never know for sure whether she is a good mother or not.

It also hasn't been confirmed how soon she will start /if she will start, so we really need to wait and see how and what she chooses to do. She may never do a movie again or she may do one in a month or a year later.

So what if a woman is successful, is money the only incentive to work? There are women who have been successful in their respective careers and some who are still struggling who have continued to work. I know some women who are amazing mothers and have such a great bond with their children despite working right after delivery.

Keep smiling,
Soni

Like you said lets just wait and see what she does. I wish her well...Career and all.

My belief system is obviously different from most of the youngsters here. Being a Mom doesn't make any woman less productive at the work place and I totally believe that.
