Okay lets say if I wanna watch something substantial where the girl really has a good role and has a lot to express I'll definitely go for Kareena.

Now if I wanna watch a slapstick movie I'll watch Kat ..

Reasons 1)her movies always have grt songs

2)She doesn't do much and thats exactly what I want

just wait for EMAET! check how well this works against MBKD. then settle. both are rom coms...chilled out fun films...both have IK!

and why people don't want to give IK any credit for MBKD! sure Katty is a big draw but it's not like IK can't give hits without her or Aamir- e.g. IHLS which was a hit!

Lots of other things added up to one being a hit and the other being a flop...i'll give it to katrina tht rajneeti was a hit majorly because of her because they used her and ranbir in the marketing and the promos...similarly with APKGK...but i disagree abt NY.

Kurbaan had pretty obvious reasons for why it didnt work.

Like you said, the Terrorism theme had been exhausted by the time KUrbaan came around. People kept saying its another New York. Even MNIK didnt work as well as people thought it would (considering Shahrukh and Kajol were coming together, it should have been historic)

And lets not forget, with a poster like Kurbaan's, you pretty much knock out family audiences. BIG MISTAKE. Film with a budget that huge could not have survived with a select adult demographic and A rating.

Have you ever thought that perhaps Kat was the one actually helping Akki? Otherwise why would he do Namaste London with Kat and it becomes a blockbuster, yet the same year he does Bewafaa with Kareena and it bombs? Namastey London was Kat's movie as well as Akshay...the story revolved around her and it was a BB.
