Aryan Vaid has finally got a big break. The actor has now been signed to play the baddie in Anil Sharma's ambitious project starring Dharmendra, Sunny and Bobby deol, and Shilpa Shetty.
Coach locha
Says an excited Vaid, "Dharamji plays a boxing coach and I am his favourite student. I become a part of his family. But when I go to the Olympics, I take to a foreign coach. This upsets Dharamji, and he starts training his own son, Bobby."
Muscle power
The actor has already shot for the film for 13 days. "I can't wait for this one to release. I have a very interesting boxing fight with Bobby," he says. "I worked very hard on my physique for this film. I didn't have a bad physique, but when you play a boxer, you have to be at your brawny best."
Other films
Aryan has completed T P Agarwal's Manoranjan, with Vijay Raaz and new girl Kavita. He has also done a Punjabi film, Ek Jind Ek Jaan, and Bobby Kent's English film King's Cross, which is a love story between a Sri Lankan cab driver (played by Aryan) and a British girl, played by Fagen.
On February Vaid leaves for London to shoot Kent's Take 2, co-starring Sheena (from UK) and Sabina (who has trained at Anupam Kher's acting school). |
Sabse bada rupaiya
Signed for Rs 11 lakhs to play a gigolo in Mr 100 per cent —The Real Player (Irrfan Khan, Mahima Chaudhary), Vaid has been paid only a part of his fee — Rs 8 lakh. Despite repeated efforts, the producer has been keeping him at bay.
Complains Vaid, "My secretary, Neeraj has been doing the rounds of Piyush Kumar's office. He has also called him several times. Lekin kuch fayda nahin hua."
Vaid repents that he did not take money upfront, like Irrfan Khan did. "Irrfan played safe and smart. He would shoot the next time only if his earlier dues were given. I have no option left now but to knock at the doors of the Cine Artistes' Association," he rues. | |
