Ashutosh Gowariker and his wife have been invited to attend the 78th Academy Awards which will be held on March 5 at the Kodak Theatre in Los Angeles.
Confirming the news, Gowariker said, "Yes, I am going to attend the Oscars with my wife Sunita."

The filmmaker is scheduled to leave on February 27 and will be in LA till March 10. "I have other meetings as well. I'll wrap everything and return. I am looking for a visual effects supervisor and stunts co-ordinator for my film 'Akbar Jodha'," he says. "I might also explore the possibility of distribution as well."

Talking about his experience at the Oscars, Gowariker says, "It will be like going down memory lane for me. Last time I was tense, waiting for the announcement of my category. But this time I will relax and watch the show," he laughs.

However, this year no Indian film has been nominated for the Oscars. "It is sad. But I guess atleast I will be representing India there," says Gowarikar.
