That's what I would like to see come out of this: more sci-fi in Bollywood. It's a genre I love and one that has never found a footing here. I was hoping this would help improve that situation.

Genre was an issue from the moment the film was conceived. C'mon now, you know what kind of relationship the desi film industry has with sci-fi.

U know that when it comes to sci-fi/fantasy/SFX then hollywood is the master .. People would choose to watch Iron Man instead of a local sci fi movie ... Actually even when it comes to war movies, i would choose a western one and not from India bcos again their skill is greater in this area as well ...

As long as Ra.One recovers its cost and is declared a hit .. i ll be happy ... It means in future we might see some variety in Bollywood mainstream movies ..

@Kal.El .. I dont really post here often 😆 I m normally a stalker of this forum 😛 ... Couldnt help but post here bcos i dont see the logic of calling a movie a failure bcos of first day's results 😛 I really hope Ra.One does better than expected .. I m tired of same old stories being regurgitated... I want Sci-Fis, war movies, fantasies etc to find an audience here .. Hopefully, if Ra.One is successful then we'll see a mainstream acceptance of a genre other than family entertainers.

PS .. did u find out how well it has been translated into 3D?
