my friends 2...acc 2 them it's a paisa vasool movie..In my place tkts r already sold in 3D theatre ..so i m going in next monday ...

i hav been waiting so long 4 this movie😳..not much xcited 4 DON2..

despite of deewali puja Film did pretty well @BO

Yeh Trade Analysts got it wrong if they thought people would choose to go to a movie instead of a family gathering (if nothing else parent's would blackmail there off springs into NOT going 😆) But u really think religiously/culturally significant stuff DOESNT have any effect on a movie's earnings😕?

It has significant role, 25% less collection was expected, but this was cover by other things, Ticket Prices were increased 5-10%, No. Of Shows increased. Even if u get HALF DAY, which is acc. 2 u, it shud easily have come across 18-20 Crore which it didn't because of -ve wom or whatever reason.

Box Office: SRK's Ra.One fails to beat Salman's Dabangg on Day 1

MUMBAI: Shah Rukh Khan's mega ambitious project Ra.One failed to beat Salman Khan blockbuster flick Bodyguard at the box office on Day 1.

The net collections of Ra.One in Hindi on Wednesday stood at approx Rs 140 million (Rs 14 crore) as compared to Bodyguard's Rs 210 million (Rs 21 crore).

The all time opening day net collections' record is held by Bodyguard (2011), followed by yet another Salman flick - Dabangg (2010) with Rs 145 million (Rs 14.5 crore).

Top 5 All Time Opening Day Collections Record:

1) Bodyguard - Rs 210 million (Rs 21 crore)
2) Dabangg - Rs 145 million (Rs 14.5 crore)
3) Ra.One - Rs 140 million (Rs 14 crore)
4) 3 Idiots - Rs 130 million (Rs 13 crore)
5) Ready - Rs 130 million (Rs 13 crore)

The box office performance of Ra.One will be watched closely over the next couple of days. It now remains to be seen how the movie stacks up against the other blockbusters.

Negative WOM effects the figures of the following days .. Not first one ..

Could a significant reason be that Ra.One is essentially a Sci-Fi cum family entertainer .. a genre which is not really well explored here? Looking at the promos i thought it was a poor imitation of American Sci Fi movies and why watch it if i can watch Iron Man😆... i guess i was wrong ... But the different genre has to play a role ... Salman's ATBBs are mostly romantic comedies/family dramas .. a genre which is generally well received in India .

I mean seriously .. I would never dream of comparing Transformers 3 with .. say Bridesmaid .. i dont see why it has to be here ... Forget being an ATBB .. if Ra.One actually recovers its costs will be a huge achievement in itself ... Whatever they earn on top of that will just be the icing ...
