being drunk and driving at the same time significantly increases the risk of harming others.. that is the main point, it's completely irresponsible and reckless, i don't care what anyone does to themselves, but what right does anyone have of endangering others for their recklessness?
and if others drink and drive, that doesn't make it right, it doesn't make it ok... yes accidents do happen, and sometimes we cannot avoid them, and if it's a genuine accident, then you shouldn't worry cause you can't be blamed.. but here's the thing, he may not have intended to kill anyone, but because of his irresponsible and reckless behaviour, he ended up causing someone's death, which could've been avoided, that is why he is culpable and deserves punishment.
if we left everything upto god, nothing would ever get done.
