After lending his name to a perfume, among other things, Bollwood superstar Shah Rukh Khan will soon have a watch named after him.
On the occasion of a preview launch of a new watch "Monaco 69", luxury sports watch maker Tag Heuer announced that they would now have a watch named after the King Khan, which is likely to be out by the end of this year.
SRK who has been signed as the brand ambassador for Tag Heuer said that it would be really nice to have a watch by one's name.
"Obviously my expertise as a watch designer is much less than my expertise as an actor. So the designing part would be left to the experts but their piece would be a kind of watch, which would be according to, a design best suited to my personality or liking and then I would approve one of them. It will be nice to have a watch named after you".
Ravi Thakran, President, Asia Pacific, LVMH Watch and Jewellery said that the new watch- Monaco 69- has both mechanical and digital functions.
"... Whenever you want to involve into a sporting activity and measure time very accurately, you can go to this watch and measure up to thousand of the second," he added while briefing about the watch.
Last year, a leading French perfume brand, Jeanne Arthes, had named one of its fragrances after Khan.
Labelled 'Tiger Eyes by SRK', the perfume was launched by the actor himself in April last year and it is available for both men and women.
