Anjali: I am back

After almost a decade, the former Liril model is back in Mumbai on a holiday and is re-connecting with her Bollywood buddies — including Arshad Warsi, Sunil Shetty, and Aamir Khan and even TV serial producers.

Speaking to hitList, the chirpy Anjali sounded upbeat. "They are so thrilled to know that I am back, and want me to get cracking into showbiz right away.

In a couple of weeks, I am hoping to finalise something exciting enough," insists Anjali who is gearing up to be featured in her hubby Paul's remix music video, which is being marketed here by DJ Aqueel.

But wasn't Paul into finance and equity? Anjali explains, "Besides his prime vocation, Kaushik who is currently based at Kolkata, has a passion for music and singing. He has recorded this remix pop-album, where there are other promising new singers as well.

This time, I am scheduled to feature in the upcoming music video. So will my stunning American 'bhabhi' Cindy Jathar, who is a jewellery designer-cum-model," she smiles.

The Arshad factor

The Trimurti girl made her debut opposite Faisal Khan in Aamir Khan's home production Madhosh directed by Vikram Bhatt. She was also paired opposite Sunil Shetty in Shastra and Dhaal. Jathar also shares a close rapport with Arshad Warsi.

"We are both agile dancers and initially used to perform and choreograph for various Hinglish plays including the Bottoms Up series. When I migrated abroad, Warsi's movie Tere Mere Sapne emerged a runaway hit with its racy song Aankh Maare.

So when I quit, he made his acting entry with a bang. Now with Munnabhai's success, it's back to square 'won' or him," she quips as she fondly hugs Arshad.

It shouldn't come as a surprise if they are featured together on screen, considering their striking chemistry.
