Ranbir can't stop raving about his heroine!
Ranbir Kapoor can't stop praising his co-star and debutante Nargis Fakhri - he says her presence is a boon to his forthcoming movie 'Rockstar' and hopes that the audiences would be "kind to her" when they see her on screen.
"Nargis is an amazing actor. She is a big boon to our film. We are lucky to have her on board for our film," Ranbir told reporters at an event in Noida.
"I pray that audiences accept Nargis as this is her first film. I request everyone to be kind to her. It feels really nice to know that people are liking our chemistry on screen."
'Rockstar', set to release on November 11, is about a young successful musician and his tryst with love. While Ranbir plays the hero, Nargis, who is a half Czech-half Pakistani model, is his leading lady.
The actor visited the Centrestage mall in Noida to unveil the poster of his film 'Rockstar' and, as expected, the shopping arena swarmed with people cheering and hooting for the star.
Ranbir, who visited the Hazrat Nizamuddin dargah with director Imtiaz Ali on September 19, described it as a spiritual experience.
"It was a very spiritual experience. I think we are lucky enough that Nizamuddin dargah gave us the opportunity to sing with the qawwals and sing the song with them at the dargah itself," said Ranbir.
He also talked about his grand uncle, the late Shammi Kapoor, with whom he got a chance to act with in 'Rockstar'.
"I really miss Shammi-ji. It is only love that he has left us with. He left so much happiness behind. I do miss him," Ranbir told reporters here Tuesday.
Shammi Kapoor, known as the dancing star of the 1950s and 1960s, revolutionised the image of Hindi film heroes with his carefree attitude and flamboyance. The legendary actor, who breathed his last on August 14, is said to have a short but important role in 'Rockstar'.
