Pritam chooses Dhoom 3 over Ek Tha Tiger

Music director Pritam Chakraborty was supposed to compose the music for Dhoom 3 and Ek Tha Tiger, both YRF films. But since the music of both the films needed to be composed simultaneously, it was difficult for Pritam to work on both the projects at the same time.

Besides, Pritam has a line up of other movies like Players, Tezz, Barfee, Race 2, Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai 2 and Jannat 2, so it was difficult for him to compose both Dhoom 3 and Ek Tha Tiger at the same time. Hence, he requested producer Aditya Chopra to excuse him from one of the films.

Since Pritam has worked on the Dhoom franchise from the beginning, Aditya Chopra told him to work on Dhoom 3 and leave Ek Tha Tiger. Pritam also agreed with Aditya's decision.

YRF has now roped in music director Sohail Sen to compose the music of Ek Tha Tiger. Sohail Sen was the music director of YRF's recent release Mere Brother Ki Dulhan. Aditya Chopra was really impressed with his work and asked him to compose the music of Ek Tha Tiger and he gladly agreed to do so.

There is no animosity between Pritam and Sohail. In fact Pritam was really happy that Sohail has been chosen to compose the music of Ek Tha Tiger. He probably thought...katrina and sallu are flop jodies...and Dhoom 3 would have a higher chance of becoming a hit...so let me make music for a hit movie lol

I love sohail sens Music, he creates very different and interesting songs, I am looking forward for the music of ETT. Shaan has just recorded a song for the movie

Pritam is also good but i am sick of him copying and not crediting the places where he gets the music from.

Dhoom 3 is a much easier project for him since all he has to do is incorporate the "Dhoom" tune into some of the Dhoom 3's songs, much like he did with the second movie (were any of those songs copied? I've lost track of which songs he actually came up with himself😆)

For Ek Tha Tiger, he'd have to come up with fresh new scores...and so he'd have to work double time just to find the foreign songs to chori from😆
