ROFL...tht happened to me during The namesake...

when i was watching that with my mum and dad, we were all like, oh tabu is soo like mum, and im soo like kal penn...then they show full frontal nudity in the middle of it with kal penn and his wife having sex...and we are like 😕...

but it was a gorgeous film...i cannot stop crying whenever i see the scene where tabu gets to know on the phone that irrfan passed away, and she goes out through the garage onto the suburbian roads and cries in solitude...it was soo bloddy touching and real...

I can't believe what I am about to write for my most favorite film ever.

My Dad and I were chilling and gorging on food and watching movies on the trot.. (We were letting our hair down since my mom had gone to my grandma's, you see). After watching about 15 minutes of soporific Mangal Pandey, I thought I will be more sophisticated and 'classy' and put in a nice Hollywood romance film in the DVD player. I chose "Love Actually", a film my friends were swearing by and which starred yummy Hugh Grant.
So, here we were.. dad and I.. enjoying our father-daughter moments with icecream and Doritos..enjoying the way the movie was unfolding. And BAM! Suddenly in the midst of scenes of gentle glances and yearning hearts, two of the actors go about humping each other in full frontal nudity - almost like XXX hard-core po*n, with no mitigating props like satin sheets or cleverly placed bed-post. . I was cringing and hoping my dad's phone would ring or something. My dad was pondering whether I was trying to send him a subtle message through my choice of film ( he is a total film novice and hardly ever watches one), with a glazed expression on his face. And, then he just walked out to take a walk with our dog. I let out a sigh of relief and continured watching what was to become the most beautiful love story I have ever seen on celluloid.

OMG Relda...that happened to me too! So many of my friends recommended Love Actually so my sibling and I decided to watch it, and NONE of them told me about this part. And those two actors were showing the real deal too...boy am I glad my parents were not around for that😆...the movie was great nonetheless

Smartie I feel that way all the time...it's sad, but once you turn 21, there are no more real "grown-up" milestones to look forward to...everything starts going down from there :(

^ The way you put it, I want time to remain still. LOL. Your twenties is probably the phase when you life is really unstable. You go thru undergrad school, then you may get your first job, or you may decide to go back to school, on your way you may meet someone, you may get married, you may have your first child. Too much generally is happening in during that time, once your are mid way thirty, you try to at least be more stable...financially, emotionally. I'm gonna be so sad, if I am not married by t he time I am thirty; jusss' saying. 😆 Life's too unpredictable though. The past we always look at in nostalgia and it seems great; the future and present we always think is bleak. Kinda like how state of Bollywood is. LOL!

honestly the cycle continues but i kinda agree with koolchick(sorry donno ur name)
once u turn 21, life becomes so full of responsibilities and what not and that too together, like studies, good career, good job, good partner for marriage, den it just continues...

Smartie I didn't mean it like that per se

I meant "becoming an adult milestone"...like kids always want to grow up so they can be "this" and "that" but they never want to just act their age. Once they become a certain age, they can for example stay at home by themselves, get the keys to drive, vote (or maybe not😆), drink, do "chi chi gand" things with a member of the opposite sex etc and so they are always looking forward to getting older...but then a certain point comes when you start wishing how things were just better in the past, and your point with the yadda yadda becomes true
...it's happening to me nowadays haha

And lovedkruti: Just call me KC or Chica :)

yeh responsibilities only keep increasing after 20...and the keep going in an upwards fashion until ur prolly like 70 and hopefully ur kids are settled and ur financially stable enough to take retirement...

but yeh...20's is a really confusing time...very unsure and uncertain...and very scary too...im 19 and i freak out at the thought of "not being a teenager" anymore...😆...therz soo many questions...will i get out of uni with decent grades? will i get a job? will i earn enough? will i get married? and even so, will i marry in time, and someone worthy? will my marriage turn out good? will i have a good family?

normally, everything turns out fine in the bigger picture...even if u fail at some courses now, or fail at relationships, or have low self esteem, or just fail at life in general at this moment, things settle themselves automatically with time...thts just how life is...everything stabilizes with time...
