Ditto everyone. I am not as old in comparison becuz I am still in University but if I just meet my brother's friends or if I just generally talk with girls, they have some issues going on. I didn't even know how babies were made till I was probably in 7th grade, and I didn't know general terms for sex till 9th grade. GAAAWD. Late bloomer, maybe?...there's no harm in being educated, but the whole vibe I get from these kiddos is just not good. I am talking about desi kids (the notion that they are suppose to be cultured is so not true!)...the double lives kids lead these days is something man. I don't wanna blv kids are sexually active as early as in 6th grade, but they are...and just generally, I don't think I can converse with teenagers now.

No, because I was the same way so I don't think we're late bloomers, but just that times have changed very rapidly

Like have you guys ever watched something from the 90s and compared it with today? You'll realize that virtually all our media is now sexually driven, including that crap on Disney channel...There's such a stark difference between Boy Meets World (my personal fav😆), Full House...and shows like Two and Half Men, Hannah Montana etc these days

My cousin watches Family Guy during the adult swim on cartoon network...ummm inappropriate much?

^ ya'll are lucky that you got to know about the technicalities of sex at an appropriate age

I knew how babies were made.. like in very general terms.. in 3rd grade. and it was DEFINITELY involuntary -__- I was in denial about it for a couple years though 😆

when you're super young and ridiculously kacche and immature, it's considered cool and hip to be the first to know about something sexual, and to be the one to spread it. I studied in a fairly small school haha so this gyaan spread like wildfire

it's gross.. haha but it depends on how obsessed you get with it. I remember seeing boys just stare at the definition of "sex" in the dictionary for minutes on during free time in fifth grade...
it's strange.

i so agree with u zainab...well i have finished my high school from India and am in University right now...but when i interact with same people in India, they have changed a lot and also the younger lot like OMG😲 they know so much more than i used to know when I was their age..in that case not only knowing stuff but they would do all that as well even without thinking like whats their age and how is it gonna effect them or their family...
like can u imagine a 13 year old girl getting preggo?? and that too in India...i was shocked when i heard about this particular story...what was the girl even thinking?? seriously kids have become so despo these days...its really really disgusting and Sad

Damn that's scary.. 😕 i know what you mean.. i don't have good connection with my younger cousins either. i feel like they are my amma ji 😕 all they can talk about is Twilight. i find them very immature but still they act like they knows everything about love, sex and all grown up things. they just don't have that innocence anymore.

true that zainab...plus today, we have so many facilities, like the internet n movies n stuff...kids can really abuse those and use them to surf po*n etc...its really scary actually...

Its not like its any better back in india...i was reading some of the femina magazines there and u know the agnoy hours coloumn?? i read soo many quotes on 13 - 15 year old girls indulging in sexual activities with much older guys (the worst being a 41 year old school teacher and a girl who had sex with her brother in law) and 10 year olds touching themselves...and because they are too young to mentally understand such things, they go into mental trauma after the act..its saddening.

There is a certain time and age for everything in life...im not asking them to become nuns or something, but indulging in such activities when ur 10-15 year old??? seriously??

This reminds me of a book i read in english once..Brave new world...which was about this dystopic society in the future...and the book has a section wherein babies are made to watch "sexual stuff" so tht they get conditioned from their childhood about such things...

horrifically, we seem to be heading in tht direction

@tuli: Yeah if the media wasn't bad enough, some crackpot author had to come up with a novel that relegates women back into the past where they need a man to feel complete

society I tell you

And don't get me started on those pageant moms who give padded bras to their three year olds 🥱

that innoncent faces are rarely seen these days when kids are growing up...its like whent hey came out in this world," sab kuch seekk kar aaye the "...its ridiculous if we think how they are growing up way too fast when they are not supposed to!
