Society is changing so fast. Aajkal ke bachche are learning things too fast. We had guests over...and the little 7 year old guy knew what a ho was. 😲 I was horrified.

Kids have access to too many things nowadays...TV shows, internet, media, author's wet dreams aka the trash Twilight--scared me that my sis was so obsessed with it and thought Edward-Bella were the epitome of love. 😵

society I tell you

And don't get me started on those pageant moms who give padded bras to their three year olds 🥱

i went to Bangladesh in 2009.. Twilight, hanna montana were such a craze back then.. and my cousins were all over about the book and movie.. i mean that was like the only thing they could talk or think about. i felt so embarrassed because even after living in USA for years i had no idea what Twilight or Hanna Montana was 😆 and i am not even that older than them..i am only 19 and i feel so disconnected from them already

sigh...childhood was so beautiful...remember the times when the most taxing decision u had to make was which flavour of ice cream to have...
and when ur parents took care of EVERYTHING...
and when u had nothing else to do apart from homework, play and spend time with family..

how awsome...i wish it came back...😔

and im sure im gonna wish my college life came back once i got a job..and the saga continues with every drastic change in our lives...😆

Tell me about itt!! Thank god my sister has gotten over Twilight now..

I used to read these when I was 10-13 years old: Nancy drew, harry potter, boxcar children, hardy boys, flipped (that was my first love story of sorts basically), the louis sachar books, charlie and the chocolate factory, beowulf, animal farm, sammy keyes, agatha christie etc...I used to read all the "kiddie" books basically..mysteries were my fav genre as you can probably tell 😆

my first nicholas sparks book was in 11th grade probably 😕..I hate sad love stories.

I can't believe what I am about to write for my most favorite film ever.

My Dad and I were chilling and gorging on food and watching movies on the trot.. (We were letting our hair down since my mom had gone to my grandma's, you see). After watching about 15 minutes of soporific Mangal Pandey, I thought I will be more sophisticated and 'classy' and put in a nice Hollywood romance film in the DVD player. I chose "Love Actually", a film my friends were swearing by and which starred yummy Hugh Grant.
So, here we were.. dad and I.. enjoying our father-daughter moments with icecream and Doritos..enjoying the way the movie was unfolding. And BAM! Suddenly in the midst of scenes of gentle glances and yearning hearts, two of the actors go about humping each other in full frontal nudity - almost like XXX hard-core po*n, with no mitigating props like satin sheets or cleverly placed bed-post. . I was cringing and hoping my dad's phone would ring or something. My dad was pondering whether I was trying to send him a subtle message through my choice of film ( he is a total film novice and hardly ever watches one), with a glazed expression on his face. And, then he just walked out to take a walk with our dog. I let out a sigh of relief and continured watching what was to become the most beautiful love story I have ever seen on celluloid.

KANK (never to be watched wid family)
Delly Belly ( too many badwords), I watched it wid friends still felt uncomfortable.
Raja Hindustani (the kissing scene)
Murder
Aitraaz ( the courtroom dialogues)

I can watch any Salman movie with family.

I was very naive until I moved to Canada, hardly knew about anything 😆 (I was in shock when they showed us video in phys ed )

While I am all for sexual education (since it helps kids understand), what I have seen here in school is an excess and as they say "excess of anything is bad ". Also shows on MTV like Teen Mom, 16 and Pregnant have glamorized the whole "sex" thing. Rather than learning something from the show, teenagers are trying to ape the people featured on the shows.
