People take me & Priyanka for granted: Shahid

Post Mausam, Shahid Kapoor's next release is Kunal Kohli's yet to be titled film with Priyanka Chopra.

Considering their rumoured link up and innumerable stories of patch ups and break ups that went on for a very long time, one can't help asking Shahid whether he is willing to work with his ex flame Kareena Kapoor, too. Prompt comes the reply from Shahid, who is in a mischievous as well as talkative mood. "I have not said 'No' to working with any co actor. That is not my decision. If a director thinks that he can handle me with any costar, he can take that decision of his life and I won't say 'No'. Rest is in the hands of God," Shahid grins.

But despite admitting to his relationship with Priyanka (when they were together) on Koffee With Karanfew months back, Shahid is still on a denial mode. It may be recalled that when Karan Johar had candidly asked Shahid about the status of their relationship on his show, Priyanka had suddenly interrupted in-between to tell Shahid that he can reveal it all now, he has her permission to do so. On the second round of the show when Shahid was asked that what would he do when he wakes up one morning as Priyanka. Shahid to that had replied saying, 'I would wonder what am I doing in Shahid's room and walk to the next wing, because that is where I stay' (Shahid and Priyanka are neighbours)."Me and Priyanka seeing each other is something you have taken for granted. I won't say anything about me and Priyanka," he stated with a flash of anger in his eyes.

And Shahid loses his cool further when reminded of numerous link up stories of Shah Rukh and Priyanka currently going rounds. So was SRK the reason behind the split between him and Priyanka? ""Your question is so hypothetical. I am thinking which part of the question I should answer but I can't think of any answer. First you are talking about the biggest superstar of the country and a much married man to have an affair. I have lot of respect for him. Then me and Priyanka seeing each other is something you have taken for granted. I won't say anything about me and Priyanka,"" says an indignant Shahid.

So one wonders if there is love in his life currently or whether he is enjoying his single status. Besides rumours of his romance with Priyanka and Bipasha there is nothing official about his love life. So is it all work and no play for Shahid? "That is the image I want people to see..so if you all think it is all work and no play, I am very happy with it," he sounds mischievous again. Which means there is a lot happening in his life besides work? "Well, I didn't say that," quips Shahid.
