Saif is more like the 3rd Bachchan..continues giving flops but still gets great offers because of his acting prowess. The place where the Top 3 Khans are in terms of popularity and success Saif have never and can never reach. So, it is is kind of a specious comparison.

Waise I dont get why being 'one of the numbered khans' is so prestigious. True those 3 have immense stat power, money, and uh... Most of them have great talent.. But they're the ones who get into the deeper cowdung everytime. They're too frequently involved in controversies, they're easily the most scrutinized, questioned, accused, and dissected personalities in Bollywood...
To avoid being caught in a sour grapes predicament, i shall stop here haha

Is there a need to? Does Saif need to a 4th or 5th Khan?

One of Saif's biggest claim to fame is his relationship with Kareena and that works against him too. The other 3 Khans made a mark on their own. Also as a solo hero he hasnt been able to prove himself as bankable star.
