i think Deepika was overrated initially and now people are realizing shes not so great! i wont say shes losing it though.. shes still relatively new and has time to improve!

Anushka has surpassed her with BBB, Asin with blockbusters like Ghajini and Ready, and Sonam's IHLS did well and she will surpass Dips if Mausam does well and she also has Abbas-Mustan's Players this year!

i think Deepika chooses the wrong films these days and i guess luck is a big factor too!

ps. i hope Sonam-Deepika are in the Bride Wars remake...😆 i would love that and i think it would do well!

Okay Nitu...just because Sonam has hits doesn't make her any better than Deepika. Both of them need to step it up.

And when were discussing any star, I wish ppl don't bring up flops and hits. Because hits and flops are not what makes actors. We are talking about roles that deepika is memorable for...and after OSO...I can't think of any. Okay I liked her in LAK...but that's about it. She def is making a lot of mistakes with the film choices...most of her films are bad. But I agree it's too late to write her off. Am not writing her off...am just saying she needs to step up her game.

After OSO, i fail to see any hype around her career and films.

too early to say anything. if i look at her since BAH (she was bad in that...the last scene made me laugh LOL) and Aarakshan (the promos) I think she has improved but still a long way to go. one or two hit films and her life will change! it's just a matter of hits! sonam's career changed after IHLS became a hit...even IK's career changed with IHLS after 2 flops and now after DB I am sure people are ready to cast him in any film! so patience rakho :-) 3 yrs is nothing.

If she has to improve her acting skills and at the same time catch the interest of the viewers ,will have to attempt roles like Taal,HDDCS...DP has the classic beauty and dancing skills fit for those roles,atleast thats what I thought when i asw her in OSO for the first time.Maybe she is like Aish who shines in sober serious roles but failed to prove her mettle in 'girl next door' kinds roles..I for one didnt think BKB role went well with her persona..She should avoid these tomboyish bubbly roles and concentrated on subtle roles

^ yeah she cant do bubbly roles. I agree she is a great dancer. I think from top actress...she is the only who can actually dance well. But she looks so awkward when she dances because of her height and body structure. She is a bit unattractive to look at when she dances...I guess also because she is so thin.

Deepika is fast becoming a non-factor in her movies. Look at the promos of Aarakshan.. she is hardly featured in any of them. There were TV shows with the Aarakshan team where the entire team from BigB, Saif, Manoj, Jha had interviews and forums with Barkha Dutt and Rajdeep Sardesai.. no Deepika anywhere. I have never seen a heroine eho was side-lined in such blatant manner in recent times. Probably Prakash Jha realized that she is not going to have any effect in attracting the audience to the theaters. That's the reason why his next venture "Satsang" is rumored to be starring Katrina again. And I don't understand the concept of Deepika being a contemporary of Anushka and Sonakshi when they both made their debuts 2 and 3 years after her. Isn't that the reason why people say that she should not be compared with Katrina? Because there was a gap of 4 years between their debuts?

^but such roles have to come to her. who's making Taal or HDDCS or Devdas now? everyone is going for "hatke" films or "youngistan" films or super masala films. very few people are making indian classic style films.
