Deepika was in the film through out..she had a longer role than Saif and some good scenes.She also had longer roles than her heroes in BKB and Lafangey Parindey..for both films the strength was attributed to her by BOI,Taran and komal Nahta..I could provide links if you ask

Who knows? may be she was offered? She makes statements like I wont do Abhay deol kind of movies at the start of my career LOLL..So you never know she rejects scripts right away without even glancing at it once just cuz its an unlikely theme not a top banner or director..SLB was no biggie till HDDCS..Still Aish agreed to work with him..I fail to see such conifidence in Deepika,for her its always about popular directors and costars..Last I heard she was offered lead role in Sudhir Mishra's period movie ..Surely she wont be doing it

It is disappointing..she should do the Sudhir Mishra film

I would love it if they made movies like devdas, taal or hum dil de but they don't make movies like that anymore. It's sad. Deepika said she admires aish from the start of her career
