Will she be as popular 2 years later? No idea. So she's just cashing on it. When filmmakers have no problem why should people have any? If you don't like watching her onscreen, skip the film! 😆

Lol now Ranbir Kapoor is being compared to Upen Patel just to put Katrina down. Where do you people get off, seriously?

Ranbir belongs to the Kapoor clan, he was never a nobody. He had a very elaborate launch. Even then, APKGK was never Ranbir's film alone. Katrina also played a pivotal role in it. Why is it so hard to accept that she is INDEED popular? Rocket singh released around the same time was a Ranbir Kapoor film and it was frankly way better than APKGK but did it make any money at the BO? That should explain it all...

Jeez I don't even like the girl nor do I watch her movies but heck credit due where deserved. 🥱

The point isn't whether or not people will attribute the success of Agnipath to Katrina. Frankly in my opinion they should not because that would be unfair to the two main leads. However, Katrina does hold a lot of power in her hands right now and dismissing it is stupid IMO. Anyone can see she is the belle of the ball right now.

Why not?, if people are giving her the main credit for the success behind her films, as some members here do.. then in theory she should be able to give hits with complete newcomers, just as SRK, Aamir, and Salman have done.. in practice we all know that wouldn't work.. i would say say she plays a contributing factor, but ascribing all credit to her is plain silly.

Nobody is giving her entire credit definitely not me. I just said she holds power in her hands right now in whatever form, and denying that is stupid. Let's not even bring in the male actors here. In bollywood, male and female actors do not enjoy the same status, not in the audience's mind and definitely not in bollywood head honcho's minds. If it was hollywood, I'd be glad to compare a Jolie's BO power to Pitt's because there they earn about the same. In fact, Jolie's yearly salary is more than Pitt's. However, this is bollywood where female actors will always be behind the male leads so I don't see any merit in your point because in practice it wouldn't work and we all know that. So why argue whats known? Srk/ Aamir can bring in a newcomer and guarantee a BB, katrina/Kareena/Aishwarya can't, its a known fact. What's the point of arguing that?

Your argument is akin to making a mouse fight a lion just because a mouse won over another mouse.

well then in that case, we don't have a disagreement here.. i didn't say Katrina isn't popular, it's not always clear what people are implying, some here seem to insinuate that she's the main reason behind the success, that's how it comes across to me anyway... and that's my only point of contention.

If Katrina can manage to have a hit with John Abraham and Neil Nitin Mukesh, then she can manage to deliver with Upen Patel too. 😛 All of those actors are basically nobody's.
