RA.One: Whose film is it anyway?

Actors having creative differences with their directors, is not news. Aamir Khan is famous for not getting along with most of his directors in recent times. Even Salman reportedly had a fight with his Ready director Anees Bazmee.

The fact that Shah Rukh Khan too did not get along with Anubhav Sinha, the director of his most ambitious project till date RA.One did not really surprise us. What did surprise was the actor's method of getting around his problems with the filmmaker.

SRK first asked his best friend and filmmaker Karan Johar to hold the directorial reins during the London schedule. KJo flew down to direct the romantic scenes between Khan and Kareena Kapoor in July 2010. The latest is that the film now has a third director. After Anubhav and Karan, Dostana director Tarun Mansukhani has joined the list.

Mansukhani has been invited by SRK to take over the last twenty days' shoot, while Sinha has been left to watch from the sidelines. Shah Rukh, who has left no stone unturned to make his magnum opus a success, called up Karan Johar a few days back and asked for the filmmaker's help on the remaining portions of the film, mainly of a few of his action scenes and the cameo sequence of Priyanka Chopra and Sanjay Dutt. A source close to the film revealed, "Karan told Shah Rukh that he is extremely busy at the moment with his own directorial venture Student Of The Year, which goes on floors next month.

However, Karan provided him with an option. He told Shah Rukh that Tarun Mansukhani was very competent, had a great equation with Priyanka Chopra since his Dostana days and would be just right to take over the last schedule."

Shah Rukh, following his best friend's advice did not think twice before getting Mansukhani on board. By the end of Monday, which concluded the last day of shoot for the film, RA.One had not one but three different directors to its name. "Shah Rukh was very happy with Mansukhani's work on the last schedule. Mansukhani also shares a great equation with Kareena since the days of Kabhie Khushi Kabhie Gham, in which he had assisted Karan. For RA.One, he shot a few scenes with Kareena as well," added the source.

Looks like Shah Rukh has finally found someone who understands the film the way he does. He had earlier tweeted: Random thought: It's so difficult to give form to your vision, when so many people are not only on a different page but reading some other book. This was after he reportedly had a fight with Anubhav Sinha at a party held at Mannat.

Refuting the fact that Tarun took over the last schedule, another source close to the film told Mumbai Mirror, "Mansukhani and Sinha both directed the last parts of RA.One. "

Anubhav Sinha, who had maintained that he had no differences with Shah Rukh, had once said in an interview, "In times when marriages don't even last four months, Shah Rukh and I have enjoyed a four year long association.
