also i would like to mention...tht at tht time the quality of films wasn't upto the mark...did she have a choice? still she had given some decent performances - i remember YEH SILSILA HAI PYAAR KA -tht movie bombed but everybody remembered her role...and has anyone seen AASHIQ...another gem of a performance especially when she is trapped in the hands of mafia anf they try to sell her to afghanis..AGAIN the film flopped so nobody will take its name...RISHEY and BAAZ were also good films but as i said they were not a success..they will never be mentioned...

and someone said tht people said tht they prefer kareena over karisma...so let kareena marry, have kids and leave the industry...then we will c what answers they shall give😛

lol exactly! Karisma has done a very good job in movies, which have not fared well, which have not had amazing scripts, and great directors! where else Kareena has had ample opportunity, and she still does not perform to the mark!

Even I agree that I find Juhi a lot more efficient at comedy roles than Karisma. For me I love Karisma's roles as a strong character (like Shakti). I have yet to determine what Kareena's best forte is.

I think both Karisma and Juhi's comic timing are good! but yeh, u might be right in saying that Karisma does a better job in more 'real roles' like dil to pagal hai, raja hindustani, fiza, zubeidda and shakti, however she cracked me up in many movies like Chal Mere Bhai and Andaz Apna Apna

^ Yes Karisma is good at comic roles too, but Juhi leads! No one can do it better than her in my honest opinion.

I also feel Kareena is overrated as an actress..So far I have never been able to connect to her, whatever role she has played . I did not really like her in JWM also. I watched the movie 2 times hoping to probably like her but it just did not happen! People say she is good in comedy but she sucked in Golmaal 3...she hardly had any role and the dialogues or gaalis she mouthed looked forced. I would say Sridevi, Kajol and Juhi ruled with comedy and Kareena is no way near any of them!! I would not like to compare Kareena with Karisma. Karisma started off badly..the movies with Govinda were really cheap. Probably because she did not have any choice. Kareena atleast had it way better being Karisma's sister!

Kareena wants to do all the commercial films and have maximum hits before she gets married with Saif! She is a very smart girl, that's for sure! 😉 She knows that her films after marriage might not be hits. Not everyone can be successful after marriage and I don't think she will do very many movies after next year. And if she does, she wants to save those experimental roles for later on!

I am not pointing out how good Karisma is, just pointing out how Kareena is a non-actor and Karisma isn't

Someone on here mentioned that they used to hate Kareena and then shifted to the other side of the spectrum.

I'm very much on the same boat, there was once a time where i could only hate on kareena, and i didn't find her attractive at all. She seemed snobby looking, irritating and extremley one-dimensional.

BUT, gone are those days. There is something attractive about kareena, and if you give her a chanse she can pull you in. I have faith in her acting, and when she fails more often than not i think it might be the script that fails. It was actually watching her in Omkara that convinced me she was good. It was a very simple performance, she was mostly quiet during it, but it was such a believable performance.

She does exeedingly well in Jab We Met as well. I like her. In-fact i prefer watching her on screen to most actresses these days. Ive warmed up to her physical charm as well, and now think she's striking to look at. She's yet to give a performance that blew me away, but i have lots of faith in her future, and hope she continues to act.

As for Lolo, something about her put me off. I wasn't a fan per say, but i cannot deny that she was a fine actress. She struggled a bit at the start, but in the last quarter of her career arc she shined.
