I recently watched Irreversible (Vincent Cassell and Monicca Belluci) It's a french film. Very graphic. Although I'm not easily disturbed by films, this one hit me right between the eyes. If you watch, make sure to watch the edited version with the rape, mutilation, murder and violence scenes edited out *gulps*

Ordinary People (1980) is one beautiful film. It's about a dysfunctional family struggling to cope with a recent tragedy and their internal conflicts. Very, very humane.

Terms of Endearment (1983) is another amazing film. Debra Winger and Shirley McLaine were terrific as the mother-daughter duo.

Has someone watched Eastern Promises? Starring Naomi Watts and Viggo Mortensen? It's about the Russian Mafia in London. Again, a very graphic and disturbing film. I still can't get the scene where Viggo's character chops off a dead man's finger off out of my head 😳

I'd heard about Irreversible and its racy scenes ~_~ yikes ahaha, I don't think I can handle it

But I read the synopsis and the concept sounds AWESOME. the whole, reverse sequence

Seriously, some scenes are just plain horrific. It took me a day to get over that film.

Yeah, I love the non-linear narrative. And it's very interesting how the film starts with the end credits rolling backwards. Very cool. Watch it if you can handle it, although I think the edited version is fairly digestible.
